Land consolidation draft plan for Kongeåen ready for commission ruling in November
Por FactBox Admin

The draft land-consolidation plan for the Vilslev-Hunderup-Jernved area in Esbjerg Kommune is now ready to be presented to the jordfordelingskommissionen (the land-consolidation commission), which is expected to issue its ruling and make the land exchanges final. The commission will meet on 18 November 2026 at 10:30 at Gredstedbro Kro, and will at the same time decide on any complaints and claims submitted in the case. The announcement, headed Jordfordeling Kongeåen del. 2, was published in Statstidende on 28 October 2026 under case number 420050-10571 (official reference S12102026-235).
The notice is issued by Tønder (Jordfordelingskontoret), the land-consolidation office in Tønder, and is dated 28 October 2026 and signed by Carina Clausen. It appears in the gazette’s section for miscellaneous announcements, under the standing heading “Jordfordeling – indkaldelse af rettighedshavere”, the channel through which Danish land-consolidation cases are summoned to their decisive meetings.
Land consolidation is the statutory instrument under jordfordelingsloven by which scattered agricultural holdings, tenancies and land parcels are reshaped into more coherent units. In notices of this type the office works to a fixed pattern, as seen in the parallel announcement for the Havmølle Å scheme published in Statstidende on 2 September 2026: the draft plan is laid before the commission, the commission rules, and any outstanding title questions are settled by property judgment. That earlier notice also records the statutory framework, referring to § 6, stk. 4 of jordfordelingsloven and to the three-week period under § 20 of tinglysningsloven within which possible title holders must be able to assert their claim before such a judgment is given.
Time, place and parties summoned
- Date: 18 November 2026
- Time: 10:30
- Venue: Gredstedbro Kro, Vestergade 2, 6771 Gredstedbro, Denmark
- Case number: 420050-10571
- Invited: rights holders and other interested parties
- Signed by: Carina Clausen, Tønder (Jordfordelingskontoret), 28 October 2026
The office expressly invites rights holders and other interested parties to attend. The notice also states that attendance is not a precondition for the commission to rule: “Det er ikke nødvendigt at deltage på mødet, for at der kan afsiges kendelse” — it is not necessary to take part in the meeting for a ruling to be issued.
What the commission decides
Three things are on the table at Gredstedbro Kro. The commission is expected to issue its ruling (kendelse) on the draft plan; to make the land exchanges (jordhandler) final; and to rule on any complaints and claims that have been raised. For landowners in the scheme, that sequence is the point at which proposed swaps of parcels stop being proposals and become binding.
Because the commission can act whether or not parties appear, the practical significance of the meeting lies in what is argued there. A rights holder who wishes to contest an exchange, or to press a claim, has the 18 November session as the occasion to do so before the plan is confirmed.
Part two of the Kongeåen scheme
The heading Jordfordeling Kongeåen del. 2 identifies the notice as the second part of the land-consolidation work around the Kongeåen. This instalment covers the three named areas — Vilslev, Hunderup and Jernved — all within Esbjerg Kommune in south-west Jutland, where the Kongeåen flows into the Wadden Sea marshlands.
The scheme is one of several land consolidations being summoned to decision meetings in Statstidende this autumn, alongside the Havmølle Å case in Syddjurs Kommune, the Voldtofte Made and Møllemosebækken case in Assens Kommune and the Veserne Harboøreland case in Lemvig Kommune. Each follows the same model: a draft plan, a commission meeting, and a ruling that closes the exchanges.
For the landowners, tenants and rights holders of Vilslev-Hunderup-Jernved, the announcement sets a firm date on which the shape of their holdings will be settled. Anyone with an interest in a parcel affected by the plan has until 18 November 2026 to prepare, and should note that the commission may rule in their absence — silence at Gredstedbro Kro will not stop the exchanges from becoming final.
