Lanaja licita el alquiler de dos viviendas municipales para fijar población joven

The Lanaja City Council has announced a competition for the award of lease contracts for two municipally-owned homes, located at plaza Cortes de Aragón, numbers 2 and 17, in the town. The call is formalized through the Mayoral Resolution of October 9, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca (BOPH) number 200, Monday, October 19, 2026, in the Local Administration section, with the official reference BOPH-2026-200013.

The announcement, signed by Mayor Aránzazu Barcos Gazol in Lanaja on October 13, 2026, details the conditions of the procedure and the price of each property. The file is processed by the municipal Secretariat and bears registration number 4576.

Object: primary residence and roots in the municipality

The purpose of the contracts is the leasing of two municipally-owned homes intended to satisfy the need for a habitual and permanent residence. The purpose stated in the announcement is threefold:

  • To favor the emancipation of young people.
  • To encourage the population to establish roots in the municipality.
  • To promote effective residence in Lanaja.

The procedure is processed as a lease of patrimonial assets by competition, with ordinary processing, according to point 3 of the announcement.

Prices and economic conditions

The contract price is fixed per home and per month:

  • Plaza Cortes de Aragón nº 2: 432.47 euros per month.
  • Plaza Cortes de Aragón nº 17: 361.09 euros per month.

The specifications for each of the homes are available to interested parties at the offices of the Lanaja City Council and on the municipal electronic office.

20-business-day deadline and place of submission

Proposals may be submitted during twenty business days starting from the day following the publication of the bidding announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca. With the publication on October 19, 2026, the deadline would end on November 16, 2026, not counting any intervening holidays.

Submission shall be made at the Lanaja City Council, during office hours, and through the municipal electronic office (https://lanaja.sedipualba.es). The contact details of the convening body are:

A municipality that turns to its assets to retain population

The call for applications adds to the recent administrative activity of the city council, which in recent months has published in the same bulletin the final approval of the fiscal ordinance regulating the fee for the school canteen service (BOPH number 152, of August 12, 2026) and the public information process for the 2025 General Account (BOPH number 155, of August 17, 2026).

The market release of two municipal homes at affordable prices—between 361 and 432 euros per month—offers a residential alternative in a municipality of the Monegros region, where the scarcity of rental offers is one of the main obstacles to keeping young people in the area. The competition transforms municipal assets into a demographic policy instrument rather than just a source of income, and opens a brief window—twenty business days—for interested parties to gather the documentation and submit their proposals.
