Lamasón auctions the pine cutting of Monte Hayedo for 30,400 euros

The Lamasón City Council has called for a public auction to award the clear-cutting of all existing pines across 38.91 hectares of the “Hayedo” Public Utility Forest, no. 326, with a base price of 30,400 euros and an execution period of 18 months. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria (BOC) no. 192, dated October 6, 2026, section 3. Administrative Contracting, with reference CVE-2026-7763 and file 100/2026. The tender is governed by the specifications approved by mayoral resolution on September 22, 2026.

The exploitation is included in the 2026 Exploitation Plan of the Lamasón City Council, approved by Resolution of the Director General of Forests and Biodiversity of the Government of Cantabria on April 20, 2026. The forest is registered in the Catalog of Public Utility Forests under no. 326 and is located within the municipality of Lamasón.

The specifications are open to the public for eight days for examination and the submission of claims, which will be resolved prior to the final award. Simultaneously, the auction for the exploitation is convened.

Object and figures of the exploitation

• Clear-cutting of all existing pines in the specified 38.91 ha of UA.
• Timber quantity: 7,600.00 cubic meters (mc).
• Base price: 30,400.00 euros.
• Settlement method: at the risk and venture of the final awardee.
• Execution period: 18 months from the final award.
• Single lot.

Guarantees and award criteria

No provisional guarantee is required. The awardee will be obliged to deposit a final guarantee amounting to 5% of the award price. For the evaluation of proposals, a single award criterion will be used, which must necessarily be the best price, and each bidder may not submit more than one offer.

Offers shall be presented in two sealed envelopes—envelope A, administrative documentation, and envelope B, economic offer—signed by the bidder and indicating the address for notification purposes.

Deadlines and submission of proposals

• Submission: at the registry of the Lamasón City Council, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• Deadline: fifteen calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOC; if the last day is a Saturday or holiday, it is extended to the next business day.
• Opening of offers: at the place and time indicated on the public sector contracts platform, with a period of no less than 3 business days following the end of the submission period.
• File: all documentation may be examined at the City Council Secretariat during the proposal submission period.

Conditions and expenses

The conditions approved by the General Directorate of Forests and Biodiversity and those of the specifications approved by the City Council shall be met, as well as those of the General Technical-Faculty Specifications (Resolution of April 24, 1975) and the Special Specifications for timber harvesting. The payment of the applicable VAT percentage on the award price and the advertising costs shall be the responsibility of the successful bidder.

The announcement was signed in Lamasón on September 22, 2026, by the mayor, Marcos Agüeros Sánchez.

The auction opens a harvest of nearly 39 hectares and 7,600 cubic meters of pine to the logging companies of the region, with a generous period of a year and a half for extraction. For Lamasón, a mountain municipality, the harvesting represents significant income and the continuity of the forest management of a woodland classified as being of public utility.
