La Vera increases its non-agricultural LEADER grants to 743,000 euros

The Board of Directors of ADICOVER (Association for the Integral Development of the Comarca de La Vera) has increased by 200,000 euros the credit for its LEADER 2023-2027 call for grants for non-agricultural productive projects in rural areas, which rises from 543,000 to 743,000 euros. The modification of the resolution summary is published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura number 164, dated August 25, 2026, with reference 2026062194 and BDNS identifier 868259.

The call is part of the Participatory Local Development Strategy and the LEADER 2023-2027 methodology, and it finances investments in the creation and development of non-agricultural companies and activities in the territory of La Vera. The increase was approved by the Board of Directors of the LAG on March 24, 2026, and authorized by the General Directorate of Rural Development on July 22, 2026.

A credit that grows by 200,000 euros

The previous summary, published on July 15, 2026, in DOE number 135, set the credit at 543,000 euros charged to the budget application 120030000/G/314A/78000/FR23771900/20230313. With the modification, the fourth section regarding the amount is rewritten with a total sum of 743,000 euros, paid from the same budget application and according to the credit availability of the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community.

The expansion is supported by Decree 78/2024, of July 23, which regulates the aid system under the LEADER methodology within the framework of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy of Spain 2023-2027. Article 28.5 allows for the increase of the amount assigned to the call through generations, incorporations, or credit expansions, provided they have been authorized by the competent governing body for rural development before the granting resolution, within the limits of Law 6/2011, of March 23, on Subsidies of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura.

Conditions of the grants

The call maintains the financing conditions for non-agricultural productive projects:

• Up to 65% of the eligible investment is subsidized.
• The maximum limit per project is 200,000 euros.
• The credit is paid from the budget application 120030000/G/314A/78000/FR23771900/20230313.

The full text of the call can be consulted in the National Database of Subsidies (www.infosubvenciones.gob.es), in accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b) and 20.8.a) of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17. The resolution was signed in Mérida on July 24, 2026, by the Secretary General, María de la Concepción Montero Gómez.

A boost to the rural fabric of La Vera

The expansion of the credit reinforces the capacity of the La Vera region to support the creation and consolidation of non-agricultural companies and activities, a key axis for stabilizing the population and diversifying the rural economy. With an additional 200,000 euros and a ceiling of 200,000 euros per project, the call expands the margin for entrepreneurs and small businesses in the territory to access European and regional funding within the framework of the 2023-2027 period.
