La Vall de Boí initially approves the public prices ordinance

Por FactBox Admin

The Vall de Boí City Council has initially approved the Municipal Ordinance regulating public prices, by agreement of the Plenary on August 20, 2026. The file is subject to public information for 30 business days and has been published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida (no. 162, of August 25, 2026, edict 7211, CVE BOP-2026_0_162_7211).

The new regulation, promoted by the mayor-president, Sònia Bruguera Diego, will regulate the public prices that the local entity receives for the provision of services and the performance of municipal activities, in a municipality with a strong tourist character such as Vall de Boí.

The initial approval is based on articles 22.2.d) and 49 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime; article 178 of the Recast Text of the Municipal and Local Regime Law of Catalonia, approved by Legislative Decree 2/2003, of April 28; and article 63 of the Regulation of Works, Activities and Services of Local Entities, approved by Decree 179/1995, of June 13.

During the public information period, any interested person may examine the file and submit claims and suggestions. The text of the ordinance will be available for consultation through these channels:

  • The municipal offices of the Vall de Boí City Council.
  • The municipal electronic office (valldeboi.eadministracio.cat).
  • The City Council’s E-board (tauler.seu-e.cat).

Deadline and effects of the approval

The period of 30 business days begins to count from the day after the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province, in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya, in a daily written communication medium, and on the Corporation’s notice board.

If no claims or suggestions are presented against the initial approval during the period of public information and hearing of interested parties, the agreement will be understood as definitively approved. The announcement is electronically signed by the mayor-president, Sònia Bruguera Diego, on August 21, 2026.

Impact for residents and visitors

The ordinance directly affects the rates and municipal services of a municipality with a high tourist influx, which is why its definitive approval will have an impact on both residents and visitors. Citizen participation during the allegations period is the last opportunity to adjust the text before it comes into force.
