La Vall d'Uixó rectifies the terms of the administrative concession to I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes
Por FactBox Admin

The La Vall d’Uixó City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón the correction of a material error detected in the rules governing the administrative concession by direct award in favor of I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U., a subsidiary of the Endesa group, over plots located on Enrique Marco Zaragoza Street and Puntarro Street. The notice appears in issue number 99 of the BOP, corresponding to August 18, 2026, within the Local Administration section.
The concession, which has a duration of 75 years counted from its formalization, is part of the electricity infrastructure of the municipality in Castellón. The publication is part of file 03612-2026 and bears the verification code CSV 16342215063541356721.
Chronology of the procedure
- October 23, 2025: The Local Government Board agreed to the final approval of the rules that were to govern the administrative concession by direct award in favor of I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U. over the plots on Enrique Marco Zaragoza and Puntarro streets.
- May 14, 2026: The Local Government Board agreed to the initial approval of new rules for the same concession, incorporating the exemption from the obligation to constitute a final guarantee on the part of the concessionaire.
- The rules approved on May 14, 2026 were subject to public information for a period of 30 business days for claims and suggestions. Once that period had elapsed without any claim being submitted, the agreement was elevated to final.
The material error corrected
The correction refers specifically to section 3 of the text of the rules, relating to the term of the concession. In the original version approved on May 14, 2026, the text established that the concession would have a duration of 75 years and added a guarantee period of 6 months, setting the total duration of concession and guarantee at “75 years and 6 months.” The correction removes that reference to the guarantee period, so that the corrected text is limited to establishing that the administrative concession will have a duration of 75 years counted from its formalization.
The coherence of this correction is directly linked to the decision adopted on May 14, 2026 to exempt the concessionaire from the obligation to constitute a final guarantee: by eliminating said guarantee, it was redundant — and potentially confusing — to maintain a mention of a six-month guarantee period within the duration section.
Implications for the electricity infrastructure
I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U. is the subsidiary of the Endesa group responsible for the management and operation of electricity distribution networks in Spain. The direct-award administrative concession over municipal plots in La Vall d’Uixó responds to the need to install and maintain electricity distribution infrastructure within the municipal area.
The 75-year term provided for in the terms and conditions allows the concessionaire to amortize the investments in works carried out on local public land. This type of concession is common in the field of electricity distribution networks, where the initial investment and long-term maintenance costs justify extended operating periods.
The mayoress of La Vall d’Uixó, Tania Baños Martos, signed the notice of rectification on 6 August 2026, twelve days before its official publication in the bulletin. The amended terms and conditions are available to interested parties at the City Council’s electronic office.
The rectification of a material error of this nature does not alter the substance of the concession or the rights of the concessionaire, but it is necessary to ensure the legal coherence of the base text that will govern a concession relationship spanning three quarters of a century over infrastructure critical to the municipality’s electricity supply.
