The University of Zaragoza appoints two technical architects as career civil servants

The University of Zaragoza has appointed as career civil servants of the Scale of Middle Engineering and Architecture Technicians, specialty Architecture, the two individuals who passed the selection process convened under reference OPO-01/2025. The resolution, dated September 8, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 182, dated September 18, 2026, with the official reference BOA20260918001, within section II, Authorities and Personnel. The assumption of office will take effect on that same day, September 18, 2026.

The origin of the process lies in the Resolution of February 10, 2025, from the University of Zaragoza, which convened selection tests for entry, via the open access shift, into the Scale of Middle Engineering and Architecture Technicians, specialty Architecture, published in the Official State Gazette number 47, dated February 24, 2025. Following the completion of the selection process, the Rectorate now resolves the definitive appointment of those who passed.

The positions correspond to Group A, Subgroup A2 and are assigned to the institution’s technical services, specifically the Technical Unit of Construction and Energy, under the Construction and Maintenance Service, based in Zaragoza.

The two appointments and their destinations

The annex of the resolution details the appointed individuals and the position assigned to each:

• Marina Bonet Cunillera, technical architect, position number 13139, Technical Unit of Construction and Energy, Construction and Maintenance Service, Zaragoza.
• Lidia Alfaro Martínez, technical architect, position number 13165, Technical Unit of Construction and Energy, Construction and Maintenance Service, Zaragoza.

Both positions are filled in the same unit and locality, meaning the reinforcement is concentrated in the technical area responsible for the university’s construction and energy.

Assumption of office and administrative effects

The resolution establishes that the assumption of office will take effect the day following the end of the internship period, that is, September 18, 2026. During this act, the new civil servants must pledge allegiance to the Constitution, the Statute of Autonomy of Aragon, the University Statutes, and the rest of the legal system, in accordance with the provisions of the call for applications.

The appointment is agreed upon once the selection process is concluded and is formalized with an express indication of the assigned positions, a requirement that closes the administrative route of the procedure.

Deadlines and means of appeal

Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route according to article 38.4 of Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, on the University System, the following may be filed:

• Contentious-administrative appeal within two months from the day following the notification, before the High Court of Justice of Aragon, in accordance with articles 8.3 and 14.2 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.
• Appeal for reversal before the same body within one month, in which case the contentious-administrative appeal may not be filed until an express resolution is issued or a presumed dismissal occurs, according to articles 30.4, 123, and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1.

The resolution was signed in Zaragoza on September 8, 2026, by the Rector, by delegation (Resolution of April 25, 2025, Official Gazette of Aragon number 85, of May 7, 2025), by the Manager, Alfonso Carlos Peña Ochoa.

The appointment closes a selection process opened in February 2025 and reinforces the technical area of construction and energy of the University of Zaragoza with two permanent positions. For the candidates who passed the process, the publication represents the consolidation of their status as career civil servants and the final allocation of their destination in Zaragoza.
