Por FactBox Admin

The University of Oviedo has announced 60,000 euros in mobility grants for its students to carry out internships in companies or institutions during the 2026/2027 academic year, under the Erasmus+ KA131 Programme. The call is approved by the Resolution of 6 August 2026 of the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and its extract is published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias (BOPA) No. 156, of 13 August 2026, with code 2026-06715.

The grants, awarded under a competitive procedure, are aimed at students of the University of Oviedo and are published in accordance with Articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of 17 November, General Law on Subsidies. The full text of the call can be consulted in the National Database of Subsidies under identifier BDNS 923816. The call is governed by the regulatory bases established by the Resolution of 22 March 2024 (BOPA of 8 April 2024), which regulate international mobility grants under the Erasmus+ programme and the agreements signed with foreign institutions.

Amount of the grants

The total amount announced amounts to 60,000 euros. The monthly grant each beneficiary will receive depends on the cost of living of the destination country, according to the groups established by the SEPIE (Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education):

  • Group 1 and non-associated third countries in regions 13 and 14: 550 euros per month.
  • Group 2: 500 euros per month.
  • Group 3: 450 euros per month.

Funding is limited to a maximum of seven monthly payments, although longer mobilities are funded within the maximum allowed by the Erasmus+ programme (12 months for studies and internships, or 24 months for Medicine and Dentistry studies), up to the limit of the grant awarded by the SEPIE. Students with fewer opportunities additionally receive a top-up of 250 euros per month, and all beneficiaries will receive a contribution to travel expenses based on the distance between their place of origin and the destination of the activity.

Deadlines for submitting applications

Two groups may apply for the grants, with different deadlines:

  • Students completing their studies in the 2025/2026 academic year: from the day after publication in the BOPA until 11:59 p.m. on 31 August 2026, and in any case before applying for their degree.
  • Students enrolled at the University of Oviedo in the 2026/2027 academic year: from the day after publication until 11:59 p.m. on 1 May 2027.

Where to consult the full text

The full text of the resolution, supplementary information and the forms that applicants must complete are available on the intranet of the University of Oviedo (https://intranet.uniovi.es/convocatorias/estudiantado), while the official extract can also be consulted in the National Database of Subsidies. The resolution, signed in Oviedo on 6 August 2026 by the Vice-Rector for Internationalization, is part of the institution’s commitment to internationalizing its student body.

The call comes at a decisive moment for Asturian students: those graduating from the 2025/2026 academic year have only a few weeks to submit their application before the deadline closes on 31 August, while those enrolling in the next academic year will be able to apply for the grants until May 2027. With 60,000 euros and funded stays abroad, the initiative reinforces the international projection of the University of Oviedo and opens the door to thousands of students who wish to complete their training with internships in European companies and institutions.
