The University of Huelva awards 33,250 euros to the best academic works

The University of Huelva has published in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA number 168, of August 31, 2026) the summary of the Resolution of July 24, 2026, which announces the Awards for Undergraduate Final Projects, Master’s Final Projects, and Doctoral Theses of its External Chairs. The call, promoted by the Vice-Rectorate for Transfer and Territorial Development, distributes a total of 33,250 euros among the best academic works linked to the areas of interest of the chairs.
The initiative seeks to value and stimulate the research work of university students. Those who have defended their TFG, TFM, or doctoral thesis in any official degree at the University of Huelva during the academic year listed in Annex I of the call may apply for the awards, provided that the work deals with a topic related to one of the areas of the External Chairs.
Requirements and amounts
To participate, it is necessary to have obtained a minimum grade of 8 out of 10 on the submitted work and not to have previously received any award, monetary or otherwise, granted by the External Chairs of the University of Huelva for that same work. The amounts are structured by modality and for each chair and line:
- TFG: first prize of 600 euros and second of 350 euros.
- TFM: first prize of 600 euros and second of 350 euros.
- Doctoral Theses: first prize of 600 euros and second of 350 euros.
The corresponding tax withholdings will be applied to each amount. The total expenditure of 33,250 euros is financed through various budget applications of program 321S, with items ranging between 1,900 and 3,800 euros per expenditure center.
Regulatory framework and deadline
The call is governed by the regulatory bases established in the Resolution of May 7, 2026, of the University of Huelva, published in BOJA number 105, of June 3, 2026. The procedure is processed in accordance with articles 17.3.b) and 20.8.a) of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (call 922509).
The application period will be open from the day following its publication in the BOJA until October 1, 2026. The resolution is signed by the rector, José Rodríguez Quintero, in Huelva, on July 24, 2026.
