La Universidad de Huelva convoca 50 plazas Erasmus+ para su personal

The University of Huelva (UHU) has announced 50 mobility grants for its teaching and non-teaching staff at higher education institutions in non-European countries during the 2026/27 academic year. The call, framed within the Erasmus+ (KA131) UHU Global program, is published as an extract in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) no. 197, dated October 9, 2026, and derives from the university’s own Resolution of September 28, 2026, identified as text no. 13256.

The call is resolved through a competitive process, and its objective is the professional development of UHU staff through training and teaching activities abroad—excluding attendance at conferences—and observational learning at a non-European higher education institution. The extract is published under articles 17.3.b) and 20.8.a) of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and refers to the full text deposited in the National Subsidies Database (call 933089).

The call is governed by the Rectoral Resolution of September 30, 2025, which approves the “Regulatory Bases for scholarships and grants for international mobility of the University of Huelva,” published in the BOJA of October 6, 2025.

Two mobility modalities

Staff may apply for two types of mobility:

  • Mobility to higher education institutions in countries not associated with the program that are Erasmus+ partners of the UHU, listed in Annex 1 of the call.
  • Mobility to institutions in the United States, Canada, and Australia with which no agreement exists, in order to establish an Erasmus+ STT/STA/SMS agreement.

Applicants must submit an expression of interest (Annex 3) from the host university, signed by the International Relations Office or an equivalent unit. The minimum duration of the activity shall be 5 full working days at the host institution, and the maximum shall be 2 months.

Amounts: up to 1,735 euros for travel and 190 euros per day

The grants are funded by the subsidy that the European Commission allocates to this program, managed by the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE). The planned allocations are 150,000 euros in 2027 and 35,000 euros in 2028, within expenditure center 80010600, program 821I, economic classification 483.00.

The amounts are granted as a contribution toward travel and subsistence expenses:

  • Subsistence: 190 euros per day.
  • Standard travel: 28 euros (10-99 km), 211 euros (100-499 km), 309 euros (500-1,999 km), 395 euros (2,000-2,999 km), 580 euros (3,000-3,999 km), 1,188 euros (4,000-7,999 km) and 1,735 euros (8,000 km or more).
  • Green travel: 56, 285, 417, 535 and 785 euros in the equivalent brackets, with 1,188 and 1,735 euros in the last two.
  • Green travel, using low-emission means for the main leg, can be funded for up to 4 days.

The maximum fundable stay is 5 days, plus 2 additional days of individual travel allowance for standard travel or up to 4 in the case of green travel. Funded places are subject to the approval of funds by SEPIE.

Deadlines, application and requirements

Stays must take place from the publication of the final resolution of beneficiaries until July 31, 2027, unless expressly authorized. The application and management will be processed electronically through the UMove application, integrated into the International Relations Service of the UHU, using a personal username and password; the specific deadline is detailed in the full text of the call.

Staff whose remuneration is charged to chapters 1 or 6 of the UHU budget and who are in active service, as well as nationals of third countries with a residence permit in Spain valid during the mobility, may participate. Language proficiency is assessed in the scale and may be a requirement of the host institution. Persons with special needs arising from disability must notify the International Relations Service to request extraordinary aid or necessary adaptations.

In the same section of the BOJA, another call from the UHU is published, the Resolution of September 30, 2026 (text no. 13258), with 40 places —20 for PDI (teaching and research staff) and 20 for PTGAS (technical, administrative and management staff)— for language courses in universities and centers of EU member states, associated third countries and the United Kingdom, with a deadline of 10 business days and subsistence of 120, 105 or 90 euros per day depending on the destination country.

The closing of this call reinforces the commitment of the University of Huelva to the internationalization of its staff beyond the European area, with destinations in the United States, Canada, Australia and partner countries of the program. For interested staff, the aid covers travel and subsistence for stays between 5 days and 2 months, although the actual granting depends on the confirmation of funds from SEPIE, therefore the planning of the mobility is conditional upon that approval.
