The University of Alicante appoints Senante Berendes as Professor of Contemporary History

The University of Alicante has appointed Heidy Cristina Senante Berendes as a university professor (catedrática) in the field of Contemporary History, assigned to the Department of Contemporary Humanities. The appointment is formalized by the Resolution of July 30, 2026, from the rectorate, published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) number 10433, dated August 20, 2026, with official reference DOGV-C-2026-25903.

The resolution is issued in exercise of the powers conferred by Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, on the university system, and other implementing provisions. The administrative act exhausts the administrative route and is signed by the rector of the university, Amparo Navarro Faure.

Appeals process

• Contentious-administrative appeal before the competent contentious-administrative court of Alicante, within a period of two months from the day following its publication.
• Optional appeal for reversal (recurso potestativo de reposición) before the rector, within a period of one month from the day following the publication.

Both routes are supported by Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure, Organic Law 2/2023, and Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the contentious-administrative jurisdiction.
