La UCLM convoca tres plazas de profesorado asociado en tres campus

The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) has announced a public competition to fill three associate professor positions under an indefinite, part-time employment regime. The call is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha number 195, dated October 9, 2026, via the Rectorate’s Resolution of 02/10/2026, with official reference 2026/7218. The positions are distributed among the campuses of Ciudad Real, Albacete, and Toledo.

The call, identified as 2026/D/LI/MC/2, is based on Article 77 of Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, on the University System (LOSU), Decree 303/2003, of November 11, regarding the regime of contracted teaching and research staff at UCLM, the University Statutes, and the II Collective Agreement for teaching and research staff. Additionally, the Regulations for the selection and hiring of associate professors approved by the Governing Council on 05/23/2024 apply.

The contracts will be signed in accordance with Article 79 of the LOSU, on an indefinite and part-time basis, and their purpose is to carry out teaching tasks in which the professor contributes their professional experience. The regulation expressly excludes research activities and structural management and coordination functions, and the remuneration will be those established in the Collective Agreement.

Requirements and application deadline

Applicants must be of legal age, not exceed the legal retirement age, and prove that they exercise the professional activity for which their degree qualifies them outside the university academic environment, in addition to holding the required official university degree. For positions with a bilingual profile, the linguistic competence level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is required, accredited in accordance with the UCLM Resolution of 07/20/2021.

The application must be submitted exclusively electronically through the UCLM calls application, using corporate user credentials. The deadline is ten business days from the day following the publication of the call in the DOCM and ends at 23:59 hours on the final day of the period. Each person must submit a single application, indicating the position or positions for which they are applying.

Fees, scale, and selection committee

  • Fee for file formation rights: 37.61 euros per position with electronic payment (with a 10% discount) and 41.79 euros for in-person payment at a banking entity.
  • 50% discount for general category large families; exemption for special category large families and for persons with a disability equal to or greater than 33%.
  • Scale: professional activity 40%, academic training 20%, teaching activity 20%, degree of teaching suitability 15%, and other merits 5%.
  • Minimum score to pass the competition: 5 points.

The Selection Committee will be chaired by the Vice-Rector for Faculty and Professional Development, María Antonia Herrero Chamorro, by delegation of the rector, and will include as full members Ramón Cózar Gutiérrez, Fernando Evaristo Callejas Albiñana, and Blanca Notario Pacheco. The alternates are Juan Carlos Pérez Flores, Begoña Ruiz Cordero, and Olga García Álvarez. The minutes will be published on the notice board of the Electronic Office and on the UCLM website, and an administrative appeal may be filed against them before the rector within one month.

The call is of particular interest to professionals who wish to combine their employment outside the University with university teaching, as the role of associate professor requires maintaining the primary professional activity and provides for the termination of the contract if this ceases. For the departments involved, the three positions allow for the reinforcement of undergraduate and master’s teaching in areas with very specific profiles.
