La Selva del Camp apuja la taxa de retirada de vehicles a 250-300 euros

The City Council of La Selva del Camp has definitively approved the modification of Fiscal Ordinance 2.07 regulating the fee for the removal of abandoned vehicles or vehicles incorrectly parked on public roads. The new rate becomes €250 per service during daytime hours and €300 during other hours and holidays, according to the announcement published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on September 9, 2026 (reference CVE 2026-08350).

The plenary agreement of June 18, 2026, provisionally approved the modification, which was submitted for public information with an announcement in the BOP of Tarragona (CVE 2026-05989, of July 2, 2026) and on the Corporation’s notice board. As no claims were filed, the modification is understood to be definitively approved, as established by article 17 of the revised text of the Local Finance Law.

What changes in the rates

The modification affects Annex 1 of Fiscal Ordinance 2.07, specifically the rates of sections A and B for passenger cars, trucks, and similar vehicles up to 3,500 kg GVW. The new amounts are:

  • A) Removal during daytime hours (Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.): €250.00 per service.
  • B) Removal during other hours and holidays: €300.00 per service.
  • C) Custody, per day: €2.40 (no changes).

Until now, removal cost €215.05 and removal without custody (change of location) €107.55, a concept that disappears with the new wording. The daily custody fee remains at €2.40.

Procedure and appeals

The modification is processed as file 1485/2026 and, as it concludes the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed against the definitive approval before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Catalonia, within a period of two months starting from the day following publication. The announcement is electronically signed by the mayor, Enric Roberto Duran.

Impact for drivers

The increase represents a rise of between 35 and 85 euros per service compared to the previous rate, and directly affects drivers who leave vehicles abandoned or incorrectly parked on the municipality’s public roads. The new ordinance also simplifies the tariff regime, which now only distinguishes between working daytime hours and other hours and holidays, with a surcharge of €50 for the latter.
