The Government Chamber appoints justices of the peace in seven municipalities of Soria
Por FactBox Admin

The Governing Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Castilla y León has appointed titular and substitute justices of the peace in seven municipalities in the province of Soria. The agreement was adopted in Burgos on September 28, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria no. 116, of October 7, 2026, page 3440, with the official reference BOPSO-116-07102026. The appointments are made public in accordance with Article 101 of the Organic Law of the Judiciary and Article 4 of the Regulations for Justices of the Peace (B.O.E. of July 13, 1995).
The agreement bears the signature of the Secretary of Government, María Teresa de Benito Martínez, and is dated in Burgos on September 30, 2026. The designation affects four municipalities with a titular justice of the peace and another three with a substitute justice of the peace, all within the province of Soria. The resolution is part of the filling of justice of the peace positions, which is the competence of the Governing Chamber of the Castilian and Leonese high court.
The four titular justices of the peace
- Cidones: Rafael Rebollar Rubio.
- Cubo de la Solana: Felipe Caballero Gómez.
- Herrera de Soria: María Teresa Díez Díez.
- La Riba de Escalote: Cecilio Beato Molina.
The three substitute justices of the peace
- Torreblacos: Nuria Boillos Galán.
- Torrubia de Soria: Sergio Vellosillo Solanas.
- Yelo: Isidro Ángel Fernández Fernández.
Four-year mandate and assumption of office
The appointment shall have a duration of four years, counted from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province. Those appointed must assume their office within twenty calendar days following the publication of their appointment, after taking an oath or making a promise before the Presidency of the Court of First Instance of the corresponding judicial district, as applicable.
Administrative appeal before the General Council of the Judiciary
Administrative appeals against the appointment agreements may be filed before the Plenary of the General Council of the Judiciary, within the time limits, grounds, and forms established by Article 121 and following of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
The publication of these appointments follows the vacancy announcements that the same Governing Chamber disseminated in the Official Gazette of the Province no. 112, of September 25, 2026, with an extensive list of substitute justice of the peace positions, and in no. 115, of October 5, 2026, which included the vacancies for Alpanseque (titular) and Rebollar (substitute) via the direct designation process.
The resolution has a direct impact on the administration of justice in the rural areas of Soria, where the justice of the peace is the first point of proximity for residents of small municipalities. With these seven appointments, the Governing Chamber reinforces the coverage of bodies that assume functions of conciliation, civil registry, and judicial assistance in localities far from the judicial headquarters.
