La Sûreté de l'État recrute pentesters et analystes forensics numériques

The Belgian Official Gazette (Moniteur belge) of November 3, 2026, publishes two comparative selections intended for the State Security Service: a pentester position (AFG26201) and digital forensics analyst positions (AFG26223), both at level A2 and reserved for French-speaking candidates. The notices appear on page 58845 under references [2026/202772] and [2026/202773], and applications are open from November 3 to 18, 2026, inclusive.

Both notices originate from the Federal Public Service Strategy and Support (FPS BOSA), which publishes the comparative selections of the federal administration on behalf of the same employer, the State Security Service. They are part of a continuous series of recruitments published in the Belgian Official Gazette for this service in recent months.

Two technical profiles, one level

Both positions fall under level A2 and are explicitly open to French speakers, in a context where several previous notices existed only in a Dutch-speaking version.

  • AFG26201 — Pentester (m/f/x), level A2, French speakers, for the State Security Service; reference [2026/202772], p. 58845.
  • AFG26223 — Digital Forensics Analysts (m/f/x), level A2, French speakers, for the State Security Service; reference [2026/202773], p. 58845.

For each selection, the job description — position content, participation conditions, procedure — is available from FPS BOSA via the recruitment portal by entering the selection number into the search engine.

Fifteen days to apply

The schedule is identical for both notices and particularly short.

  • Opening of applications: November 3, 2026.
  • Closing: November 18, 2026, inclusive.
  • Online submission: www.travaillerpour.be (Dutch version: www.werkenvoor.be).
  • List of successful candidates: valid for 1 year after selection.
  • Specific list of successful candidates with a disability: valid for 4 years.

A wave of recruitments at the State Security Service

The two notices of November 3 extend a dense sequence. The Belgian Official Gazette has published several comparative selections for the same service in recent months, at various levels and in various professions:

  • Cryptographers (ANG26237, level A2, Dutch speakers), B.O.G. September 7, 2026, p. 49123, [2026/202262].

Furthermore, the statutory framework has been revised: the royal decree of August 27, 2026, amending various provisions relating to the State Security Service, published in the M.B. of September 21, 2026, p. 50950, under reference [2026/006611], notably replaces the figure “6” with “26” in Article 251 of the royal decree of December 13, 2006, regarding the status of agents of the external services of the State Security Service, and substitutes the title “Cross-Functional Support Director” for “Management Director” in the royal decree of September 4, 2013, establishing the composition and powers of the management committee of the National Security Authority.

What this changes for candidates

For French-speaking cyber profiles, the window is narrow: eighteen days from publication, with no announced extension, and a single procedure that serves both for entry into service and for the establishment of a one-year recruitment reserve. As both notices were published on the same day and at the same level, a candidate may apply for both selections, provided they submit two distinct applications under numbers AFG26201 and AFG26223.
