Por FactBox Admin

The Sénia City Council has approved the call for grants for the rehabilitation of housing in the urban center for the year 2026, with an allocation of 10,000 euros under a non-competitive concurrence regime. The call was approved by Mayoral Resolution no. 2026-0001087, dated August 18, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on August 28, 2026, with reference CVE 2026-08050.
The call is framed within the Municipal Ordinance regulating the granting of subsidies for housing rehabilitation, initially approved by the City Council Plenary on February 23, 2026, and published in the BOP of Tarragona on March 12, 2026 (CVE-2026-01935). After the public information period, which ended on April 28, 2026, without claims, the ordinance was definitively approved. The credit is charged to budget item 152.789.05 of the 2026 municipal budget.
Eligible actions
The purpose of the grant is to promote the improvement and conservation of dwellings located within the urban center of la Sénia, for works notified or with a granted license and completed between October 1, 2025, and September 30, 2026. The following actions are eligible:
- Total repair or rehabilitation of facades, including the painting of the cladding of buildings cataloged with keys R1 (Historic Zone I) and R2 (Historic Zone II).
- Actions to ensure the conservation and watertightness of the roof.
- Actions to resolve structural problems.
- Accessibility or mobility improvements, such as the installation of an elevator or the removal of architectural barriers, when a person over 65 years old or with mobility problems resides there.
- Thermal or acoustic insulation improvements to promote energy saving.
Works in dwellings built or subject to major rehabilitation in the last 10 years, those already subsidized by other administrations, and those involving the demolition of facades or total gutting of the property are excluded.
Amounts and requirements
The grant will be a minimum of 50 euros and a maximum of 2,000 euros, without exceeding 40% of the cost of the work. In the case of dwellings cataloged with keys R1 and R2, the percentages increase by 20%, up to a maximum of 3,000 euros per dwelling. Over a five-year period, the maximum grant for the same dwelling is 2,000 euros, or 3,000 euros for those cataloged.
Natural persons, legal entities, non-profit organizations, and homeowners’ associations may apply, provided they are owners, tenants, or usufructuaries of the property and are up to date with their tax obligations. Persons or companies engaged in the economic activity of promotion are excluded. A grace period of 10 years is established before applying for aid for the same concept again.
Processing deadlines
The deadline for submitting applications ends on September 30, 2026. Natural persons may submit them at the City Council Registry, the Citizen Service Point (PAC), or via the electronic office, while legal entities may only do so via the electronic office. The application must be accompanied by photographs before and after the works, invoices, the account number, and sworn statements regarding the absence of other subsidies and compliance with tax obligations.
The instructing body will be the Councilor for Urban Planning, and the collegiate evaluation body will consist of Lorena Ventaja Pérez (president), Alba Querol Armengol (member), and Ana Bonfill Soler (secretary). Subsidies will be granted in chronological order of receipt of the applications, and payment will be made within a maximum of 30 days from the granting. The resolution, signed by Mayor Maria Victoria Almuni Balada, exhausts the administrative route.
This call offers property owners in La Sénia an opportunity to improve the condition of their properties with direct financial support, especially relevant for listed homes in the historic center, and contributes to the conservation of heritage and the accessibility of the municipality.
