La Roda opens the expansion of the elderly residence for public consultation

The La Roda City Council has opened a one-month public information period for the modified construction project of the concession contract for the comprehensive care service of the “Virgen de los Remedios” Municipal Elderly Care Home, titled “Renovation and expansion of the Virgen de los Remedios elderly care home.” The decision was adopted via Mayoral Resolution number 929, dated September 17, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete (BOP) number 111, dated September 23, 2026, in the Third Section: Local Administration, page 19, with official reference 24.116.

The announcement is signed by the mayor, Juan Ramón Amores García, and is issued from the General Secretariat of the council. The one-month period will begin counting from the day following its publication in the BOP of Albacete, meaning the exhibition period starts on September 24, 2026.

One month to examine the project and submit allegations

During this month, interested parties may examine the document and submit in writing any allegations they deem appropriate. These must be addressed to the General Secretariat of the La Roda City Council and submitted through the General Electronic Registry of the aforementioned City Council or by any other means admitted by article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

The object submitted for exhibition is not the contract in its entirety, but rather the modified construction project of the concession for the comprehensive care service of the municipal residence, allowing citizens to know the scope of the planned renovation and expansion before its final approval.

In-person and electronic consultation

The file can be consulted through two channels:

• In person, at the administrative offices of the General Secretariat of the Most Excellent City Council of La Roda (Albacete), located at Capitán Escribano Aguado square, number 1, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours.
• Digitally, on the notice board of the municipal electronic office, at the address https://laroda.sedipualba.es/tablondeanuncios/anuncio.aspx?id=72676.

The publication is carried out both in the BOP of Albacete and on the notice board of the electronic office of the Most Excellent City Council of La Roda (Albacete), according to the first point of the resolution.

Legal basis of the public exhibition

The resolution is based on article 285.2, in relation to articles 249.2 and 248, paragraphs 3 and 4, of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts, which transposes into Spanish law the Directives of the European Parliament and the Council 2014/23/EU and 2014/24/EU, of February 26, 2014. The provisions of article 21.1 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, are also considered.

The announcement closes with the phrase “What is made public for general knowledge,” common in public information procedures of local administration.

The opening of this procedure allows residents, entities, and groups within the municipality to voice their opinions on the project that will redefine the nursing home in La Roda. Since it is a service concession contract for comprehensive care, the allegations submitted within the deadline may influence the final content of the renovation and expansion before the City Council resolves the case file.
