La Roda expands aid for associations with losses in roadworks

The La Roda City Council has finalized the credit modification file 11/2026, which allocates 101,812.20 euros to agreements with social, cultural, and commercial entities in the municipality. The agreement, adopted by the Plenary on July 30, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete number 108, dated September 16, 2026, Third Section. Local Administration, pages 22 and 23, with reference 23.149.

The finalization occurs in compliance with article 169.1, by referral of 177.2, of the revised text of the Law regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. Since no objections were submitted during the public exhibition period—opened with the announcement published on August 12, 2026—the plenary agreement for initial approval has been automatically finalized.

This is a credit supplement financed entirely through the cancellation or reduction of credits from other applications. The City Council further certifies compliance with article 37.2, sections a) and b), of Royal Decree 500/1990, of April 20: the specific and determined nature of the expenditure, the impossibility of delaying it to subsequent fiscal years, and the insufficiency of credit in the expenditure status.

Beneficiary entities

The supplement is distributed among seventeen agreements, with the following supplementary credit amounts and resulting final credits:

• Red Cross: 15,080.00 euros (30,160.00 final).
• ASPRONA: 29,000.00 euros (58,000.00 final).
• Mental Health Plan: 12,000.00 euros (24,000.00 final).
• AMAR Association: 6,400.00 euros (12,800.00 final).
• Unión Musical Rodense: 6,250.00 euros (31,250.00 final).
• Central Market: 5,640.00 euros (11,844.00 final).
• Local Trade Group: 5,500.00 euros (11,000.00 final).
• Businesswomen’s Association: 5,500.00 euros (11,000.00 final).
• ASLA: 5,200.00 euros (10,400.00 final).
• Pensioners’ Union: 2,500.00 euros (5,000.00 final).
• ARCO: 1,560.00 euros (4,560.00 final).
• TRIVIUM: 1,560.00 euros (3,120.00 final).
• Voces Amigas Association: 1,560.00 euros (3,120.00 final).
• “La Caridad” Rodense Cultural Association: 1,070.00 euros (2,170.00 final).
• Virgen de los Remedios Brotherhood: 1,050.00 euros (2,250.00 final).
• Belenistas Association: 1,050.00 euros (2,250.00 final).
• Amigos del Arte Cultural Association: 892.20 euros (3,892.20 final).

Financing through reductions in road works

The total amount of the supplement is covered by two credit cancellations in investment items:

• Rehabilitation of public roads and the sewerage and water supply system: decrease of 69,072.44 euros, reducing the allocation from 120,000.00 to 50,927.56 euros.
• Rehabilitation of roads in the industrial estate: decrease of 32,739.76 euros, reducing the allocation from 90,000.00 to 57,260.24 euros.

Deadlines and appeals

A contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly against the agreement, in the form and within the deadlines established in articles 25 to 42 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating said jurisdiction. The filing of the appeal shall not, by itself, suspend the effectiveness of the contested act or agreement, according to article 171.3 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004.

The announcement was signed in La Roda on September 3, 2026, by the Mayor-President, Juan Ramón Amores García.

The operation consolidates municipal support for the local associative network —Red Cross, ASPRONA, AMAR, the Mental Health Plan, commerce, and cultural groups— and practically doubles the credit available for these agreements, although it does so at the cost of cutting more than half of the planned investment in the rehabilitation of urban roads and the industrial estate.
