La Rioja appoints career officials in Education and Ordinance

The Regional Ministry of Finance, Public Governance, Digital Society and Government Spokesperson of La Rioja has appointed career civil servants to the Technical Assistant Corps (Special Education Scale, group B) and the Orderly-Professional Group Corps, according to two resolutions signed on August 10, 2026, by Minister Alfonso Domínguez Simón and published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 166, of August 31, 2026, in section II on Authorities and Personnel.
The appointments occur following the conclusion of the selection processes convened for the filling of vacant positions in the corps of Special Administration Faculty Assistants (Educational Technical Assistant) and General Administration Subalterns, and are framed within Law 9/2023, of May 5, on the public service of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja and the Public Employment Offer for 2026 approved by Decree 12/2026, of May 12.
Appointments in Special Education
Resolution 1889/2026, of August 10, appoints as career civil servants of the Technical Assistant Corps, Special Education Scale, group B, the individuals selected in the competitive examinations of file F.27/23, convened by Resolution 1742/2024, of August 27. The following are appointed:
- Vanessa Estefanía Cendagorta, assigned to the Directorate General for Innovation and Educational Planning (Logroño and Region Zone).
- Beatriz Collado León, assigned to the “Marqués de Vallejo” Special Education Center in Logroño.
- Silvia San Miguel Pérez, assigned to the “Marqués de Vallejo” Special Education Center in Logroño.
Likewise, the following are appointed as career civil servants of the Special Administration Faculty Assistants Corps (Educational Technical Assistant, to be phased out), subgroup C1:
- Nuria Martínez Santamaría, assigned to the C.E.I.P.C. “General Espartero” in Logroño.
- Paula Lázaro Sanjuan, assigned to the Logroño and Region Zone.
- Natalia López Ezquerro, assigned to the “Marqués de Vallejo” Special Education Center in Logroño.
Appointments to the Orderly Corps
Resolution 1987/2026, of August 10, appoints as career civil servants of the Orderly-Professional Group Corps the individuals selected in the competitive examinations of file F.39/23, convened by Resolution 1604/2024, of August 16. The fifteen new civil servants, with the position of Subaltern, are distributed across destinations in Logroño, Calahorra, Lardero, Nájera, Alfaro, Autol, and Haro, including:
- Juan Antonio Martínez Martín (I.E.S. “Hermanos D’Elhuyar”, Logroño) and Irene Diez Ramírez (I.E.S. “Comercio”, Logroño).
- Alfonso Carlos Rodríguez Sañudo (Conservatorio Profesional de Música “Eliseo Pinedo”, Logroño).
- Raúl Cotelo Rico (Residencia de Personas Mayores de Lardero).
- Juan Gonzalo Flaño and Rebeca Corcuera Soto (I.E.S. “Valle del Cidacos”, Calahorra) and José Ignacio Reinares Reinares (Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Calahorra).
- Diego Sicilia Jiménez (Centro de Participación Activa “Lobete”, Logroño) and Cristina Benes Tecedor (Centro de Participación Activa de Nájera).
Assumption of Office and Effects
Those appointed must assume office before the Technical General Secretariat of the corresponding department within one month from the day following the publication in the Boletín Oficial de La Rioja. The assigned positions are permanent, equivalent for all purposes to those obtained by competitive examination, in accordance with Decree 78/1991, of November 28, which regulates the filling of job positions for civil service personnel of the Public Administration of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja.
These resolutions exhaust the administrative route and may be appealed for reversal before the department within one month or through contentious-administrative proceedings before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de La Rioja within two months.
With these appointments, the Riojan Executive consolidates the public workforce in the educational and services sectors, filling support positions for special education and subordinate positions in teaching centers, residences, and active participation centers throughout the community, which strengthens the attention provided to educational centers and social services in the region.
