Por FactBox Admin

The Regional Ministry of Finance, Public Governance, Digital Society and Government Spokesperson of La Rioja has established the public price to be charged for the sale of a reproduction of a Roman-era terra sigillata bowl, linked to the temporary exhibition ‘From La Rioja to the Tables of the Empire’. The measure is detailed in Order HGS/42/2026, of August 20, published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 161, of August 24, 2026, in the General Provisions section.
The regulation, signed by Minister Alfonso Domínguez Simón, is based on Law 6/2002, of October 18, on Fees and Public Prices of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja, which defines public prices as the considerations paid for the delivery of goods under Public Law when they are voluntarily requested. The order will enter into force the day following its publication in the gazette.
A piece linked to the exhibition at the Museum of La Rioja
The reproduction arises from the temporary exhibition ‘From La Rioja to the Tables of the Empire’, inaugurated on July 17, 2026, at the Museum of La Rioja and open until December 6, 2026. Its objective is to disseminate the importance of Roman culture in the region and the Riojan contribution through the terra sigillata pottery industry.
The exhibition brings together around 120 pieces, among which one of the best-preserved bowls with the finest decorative details has been selected for reproduction. The original piece measures 12.7 cm in diameter and 6 cm in height, is made of terra sigillata, dates from the 1st century, and was manufactured in Tricio, one of the most flourishing pottery centers of La Rioja in antiquity.
Amount and payment conditions
The public price to be received for the delivery of the reproduction is 30.25 euros, VAT included. The payment obligation arises upon delivery of the good, and natural and legal persons, public or private, who request the reproduction are obliged to pay.
Payment may be made by any of the following means:
- Legal tender.
- Duly certified or accepted check.
- Bank transfer or direct deposit into the enabled bank account.
- Electronic means enabled by the competent ministry regarding payment.
Regulatory framework
The order is part of the line of work initiated in 2025 by the Museums and Exhibitions Service of La Rioja to provide the institution with an identity and to enhance the value of the culture exhibited in its halls. In all matters not expressly provided for, Law 6/2002, of October 18, on Fees and Public Prices of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja shall apply supplementarily.
With this initiative, the Autonomous Community seeks to promote and disseminate Riojan culture through a faithful reproduction of a piece representative of the Roman pottery industry, bringing heritage closer to visitors and reinforcing the cultural and tourist appeal of the exhibition.
