La Rioja Cuida opens urgent list of health technician drivers.

La Rioja Cuida has published an extraordinary and urgent call to create a list of candidates for TES driver for scheduled service to temporarily cover staffing needs in medical transport in La Rioja. The announcement, signed by the manager of the company, Alberto Pellejero García, appears in the Boletín Oficial de La Rioja (BOR) No. 155, of August 14, 2026, with secure verification code BOR-A-20260814-II–956.

The call comes from Sociedad Riojana de Cuidados Integrales, S.A.U., the company that provides scheduled medical transport under the brand La Rioja Cuida. The measure responds to the insufficient effective availability of candidates from the currently valid temporary employment pool to meet needs arising from absences and temporary situations. The terms, fourteen sections signed in Logroño on August 12, 2026, are recorded under registration 202608120123950 and span four pages of the gazette.

An extraordinary and subsidiary list

The new list will be extraordinary and subsidiary with respect to the current pool, which retains priority of call. Before resorting to the list, La Rioja Cuida will check whether there is any person from the pool actually available to accept the hiring and will only turn to the new registrations when there is none. The procedure will be carried out in accordance with the principles of equal opportunity, publicity, objectivity, transparency, merit and ability, and equal treatment and non-discrimination.

Requirements for participation

Those who meet the following requirements on the date of submitting the application and maintain them at the time of the call and hiring may register:

• Minimum legal working age and other legally required requirements.
• Functional capacity necessary to perform the position.
• Qualification, certification or authorization as Emergency Medical Technician.
• Valid class B driving licence.
• Not having been dismissed from Sociedad Riojana de Cuidados Integrales, S.A.U. nor finally sanctioned for serious or very serious misconduct in the two years prior to the publication.

The application must be accompanied, at minimum, by the DNI or equivalent identification document, the required qualification or authorization, and the driving licence. There is no scoring phase or merit assessment: submitting the application implies a responsible declaration regarding compliance with the requirements and the truthfulness of the documentation provided.

Deadline, registration and calls

Applications shall be submitted within 30 calendar days counted from the day following publication in the BOR, through the employment portal of La Rioja Cuida (portal.lariojacuida.es/oferta-empleo). Given the extraordinary and urgent nature of the procedure, applications may be checked and added to the list during the submission period itself, so that it can begin to be used to meet needs without waiting for the deadline to end.

The order of the list shall be determined by the date and time of submission of the complete application. When there is a temporary coverage need, registered persons will be called in that order; anyone who rejects an offer will move to the last position, unless due cause is properly accredited. The contracts will be temporary, linked to the substitution that motivates them, and inclusion in the list does not guarantee a minimum duration or a specific number of calls.

The opening of this emergency list highlights the shortage of available drivers in Rioja health transport and, at the same time, opens a doorway for new applicants who were not part of the current pool. The list will remain active as long as the circumstances that led to its creation persist and will cease to be used when a new temporary employment pool is published to replace the current one.
