Por FactBox Admin

The Government of La Rioja has announced the exceptional aid for the maintenance of professional agricultural activity for the 2026 financial year, endowed with 3,000,000 euros and intended to compensate for the cyclical income deficit of agricultural holding owners in the community. The summary of the call is published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 170, dated September 4, 2026, in section III of other provisions and acts, with secure verification code BOR-A-20260904-III–3421.
The measure, promoted by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural World and Environment, is framed within Order AGM/44/2026, of September 2, which establishes the regulatory bases for this exceptional aid. The expenditure, authorized by the Governing Council, is charged to budget item 050201.4122.47801 “CRISIS EXPENSES AID”, project 60001, of the general budgets of the community for 2026. The call is listed in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 927467.
Amount and beneficiaries
The aid is set at 1,000 euros per agricultural holding, an amount that corresponds to the basic or general component of the aid, established based on the economic analysis of the cyclical situation of the sector, characterized by the loss of income affecting agricultural professionals across the board.
Beneficiaries may be natural or legal persons, as well as entities without legal personality, including holdings under a shared ownership regime, that meet the requirements of article 3 of the regulatory order as of May 31, 2026, and at the time of the publication of the summary.
Deadlines and processing
The call provides two ways to submit applications:
- Owners who have submitted the single application for aid under Royal Decree 1048/2022, of December 27, on direct payments within the framework of the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy, will have their application considered submitted through that 2026 filing, and may waive the grant.
- The remaining applicants will have a period of ten business days from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of La Rioja, using as a reference the data existing as of May 31, 2026, in the Register of Agricultural Holdings and in the Register of Livestock Holdings of La Rioja.
The aid will be processed under a direct grant regime. The instructing body will issue a provisional resolution proposal, which will be published in the gazette with a ten-day period for allegations, and the granting resolution and payment obligation will include the list of beneficiaries and the amount recognized for each.
Payment of the grant
Payment will be made via a single installment per call, once the managing body has verified that the requirements have been met. It will be made to the current account provided by the holder for the payment of the single application or, where applicable, to the account enabled for the payment of this aid.
The call, signed in Logroño on September 2, 2026, by Counselor Noemí Manzanos Martínez, represents direct support for the Riojan primary sector in a context of generalized income loss, and will allow thousands of agricultural holdings in the community to receive economic compensation through agile processing and a single payment.
