La Rioja announces 83,470 euros in grants to improve hunting grounds

The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Affairs and Environment of the Government of La Rioja has approved the public call for the 2026 annual period for subsidies destined for actions to improve the environment and infrastructure on hunting grounds, with a total budget of 83,470.00 euros. The call is published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 178, dated September 16, 2026, by means of Resolution 1583/2026, dated September 9, signed by the counselor Noemí Manzanos Martínez.
The measure is framed within Order 34/2015, dated August 25, of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Environment, which establishes the regulatory bases for these grants. The extract of the call is published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, dated November 17, and is registered in the National Subsidies Database under the code BDNS 928754.
Purpose and beneficiaries
The purpose of the subsidies is the partial financing, by the Department, of the expenditure incurred by the owners or assignees of the use of hunting grounds for the payment of actions to improve the environment and infrastructure on said lands. The following may be beneficiaries:
- Owners of hunting grounds.
- Assignees of hunting reserves who comply with the obligations of articles 3 and 4 of the regulatory order.
- The reference period of article 3.f corresponds to the 2024-2025 season.
- There may only be one beneficiary per reserve, and if the applicant is an assignee, the application must have the approval of the owner.
Amount and application deadline
The approved expenditure amounts to 83,470.00 euros, charged to the budgetary applications of expenditure project 80702.3 of the Department’s expenditure budget for the 2026 financial year. The deadline to submit the application is one month from the day following the publication of the extract in the Official Gazette of La Rioja.
Applications shall be addressed to the Director General of Natural Environment and Landscape and may be submitted at the Registry of said Directorate, at that of the Department (calle Prado Viejo 62 bis, Logroño), at the General Registry of the Autonomous Community (calle Beti Jai, 1), or electronically via the electronic office of the Government of La Rioja. Legal entities are required to interact electronically with the Administration.
Processing and justification
The line will be processed under a competitive bidding regime, and the application must be accompanied by the documentation established in article 11 of the regulatory order. The deadline for the justification of the actions ends on November 30, 2026, in accordance with article 15 of the regulatory bases.
The award resolution and the requests for correction will be published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja, and the payment of the grants will be carried out once the payment resolution has been issued by the General Directorate of Natural Environment and Landscape, following a request for payment from the beneficiaries.
