La Rioja convoca 61 plazas de auxiliar de enfermería por turno libre

The Government of La Rioja has announced 61 nursing assistant positions via the open competition system, one of the largest public health employment offers of the year in the community. The call is approved by Resolution 2329/2026, of October 2, from the Department of Finance, Public Governance, Digital Society and Government Spokesperson, published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 193, of October 7, 2026. The positions belong to the Body of Faculty Assistant. Scale: Nursing Auxiliary Care Technician or Care Technician for People in Situations of Dependency (FA.19/23-26), Group C, Subgroup C1.

Four employment offers accumulated in a single call

The call is supported by the third additional provision of the public employment offer decrees, which allows positions authorized in different regulations to be accumulated in a single process. The 61 open competition positions come from:

  • Decree 161/2023, of December 26 (BOR number 257, of December 28): 11 positions.
  • Decree 23/2024, of July 16 (BOR number 139, of July 18): 12 positions.
  • Decree 33/2025, of July 15 (BOR number 136, of July 17): 26 positions.
  • Decree 12/2026, of May 12 (BOR number 90, of May 14): 12 positions.

The applicable legal framework includes Law 9/2023, of May 5, on the Public Service of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja, and Decree 9/2026, of April 21, which regulates the integration into the new bodies and scales created by that law. On the same publication date, a call for 3 positions of the same scale via vertical internal promotion also appears, processed through Resolution 2327/2026, of October 2 (F.24/25).

Requirements, fee, and application deadline

Applicants must meet, among others, the following requirements:

  • Hold the Intermediate Vocational Training Degree in Nursing Auxiliary Care Technician or the Intermediate Vocational Training Degree in Care Technician for People in Situations of Dependency.
  • Be at least 16 years old and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.
  • Pay a registration fee of 15.27 euros, with exemptions for people with a disability of 33% or higher, job seekers, large families, and victims of terrorism or gender-based violence.

The deadline for submitting applications is 20 business days from the day following publication, exclusively electronically through the website www.larioja.org/empleopublico. The General Directorate of Public Service will publish the provisional list of admitted and excluded persons within a maximum period of one month.

Two eliminatory exercises in a single day

The selection procedure is a competitive examination and consists of two eliminatory exercises held on the same day in a single session:

  • First exercise: questionnaire of 50 multiple-choice questions (12 from the general part and 38 from the specific part), 50 minutes, graded from 0 to 20 points with a minimum of 10 to pass.
  • Second exercise: theoretical-practical case study of 20 questions, 60 minutes, valued from 0 to 40 points with a minimum of 20.

The 305 applicants with the highest direct score, equivalent to five times the number of positions called, will pass the first exercise. The exams will begin two months after publication and must be held within a maximum period of four months. The order of action will begin with the letter “U”, in accordance with Resolution 131/2026, of January 20.

Qualifying Tribunal

The Qualifying Tribunal is listed in Annex I of the resolution:

  • Titular President: María Pilar López Jalón; titular secretary: María Isabel Espinosa Castro.
  • Titular members: Jesús Pérez Cámara, José Javier Roldán Martínez, and Irene Santos Palacios.
  • Substitute President: María Ángeles González Campo; substitute secretary: Eva María García Gómez.
  • Substitute members: Pilar Álvarez Lorente, Ángel Villanueva Barrio, and Ángel Martínez San Emeterio.

The resolution was signed in Logroño on October 2, 2026, by the counselor Alfonso Domínguez Simón.

The call reinforces the auxiliary care staff of the regional Administration and opens a stable path of public employment for those qualified in nursing auxiliary care and dependency care. By accumulating four pending offers, it concentrates in a single process the positions that would otherwise have been distributed across several exercises, and the resulting waiting list will replace the current one for the interim coverage of these positions.
