La Rioja announces 25 Santander scholarships of one thousand euros for UR students

The University of La Rioja has announced twenty-five financial grants of 1,000 euros each as part of the Santander Scholarships Program | Financial Aid 2026, aimed at Undergraduate and Master’s students enrolled for the 2026-2027 academic year. The call is published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 172, dated September 8, 2026, via a resolution from the Vice-Rector for Students and Employability, María Ángeles Martínez Calvo, signed in Logroño on September 3, 2026.

The measure is framed within section III of Other Provisions and Acts of the gazette, with official reference BOR-A-20260908-III–3442, and is published as an extract of the call in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17. Purpose and Beneficiaries

The objective of the call is to facilitate access to higher education for students with the best academic records from any year of an Undergraduate or University Master’s degree. Deadline and Submission of Applications

The application period begins the day after the publication of the extract in the Official Gazette of La Rioja and ends non-extendably on October 7, 2026. For the application to be valid, interested parties must complete the two enabled forms:

• The first, available on the University of La Rioja website (www.unirioja.es).
• The second, via the website www.becas-santander.com.

Applications submitted through only one of the two platforms will be excluded from the process.

Acceptance of the Scholarship

Beneficiaries must expressly accept the awarded scholarship through the Santander website, as stated in the published extract. The requirements for beneficiaries and the award criteria are detailed in articles 3 and 4 of the call, respectively.

The publication of this call represents a direct opportunity for students in La Rioja, who can apply for financial support of one thousand euros to face the 2026-2027 academic year.
