La Rioja convoca 174.500 euros en ayudas para misiones empresariales internacionales

The Official Gazette of La Rioja publishes this Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the call for grants for collective participation in direct business missions under the 2026 Internationalization Plan. The measure was approved by the Department of Economy, Innovation, Business and Self-Employment through Resolution 458/2026, of October 27, the extract of which appears in issue number 212 of the gazette, in section III of other provisions and acts. The maximum amount mobilized is 174,500 euros.

Regulatory framework and budget

The call is based on Order EIE/29/2025, of May 14, which approved the regulatory bases for grants under a direct award regime for internationalization activities of Riojan agents, published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 94, of May 19, 2025. The extract is also disseminated through the National Grants Database, with the identifier BDNS: 938316.

The budget is divided between two items of expenditure project 81910.1, charged to the 2027 fiscal year:

  • 19.03.01.4612.470.00: 143,100 euros.
  • 19.03.01.4612.480.00: 31,400 euros.

The maximum amount per beneficiary entity will be that established for each line of action of the call. The resolution bears the signature of the counselor Belinda León Fernández and its official reference is BOR-A-20261103-III–4117.

Who can apply and for what

Companies and non-profit entities with a registered office or workplace in La Rioja that meet the requirements of article 9.1 of Order EIE/29/2025 may apply for the grants. The objective is to facilitate the opening of new markets and promote the internationalization of the Riojan productive fabric through business meeting agendas at the destination and visits to international trade fairs.

Expenses directly linked to the visit to the events planned in each line of action will be eligible for subsidies:

  • External assistance at the destination to prepare agendas and organize the action.
  • Interpreters for individual and joint actions, including virtual interpretation.
  • Rental of space, virtual participation fees, stands or rooms, basic decoration, furniture, maintenance, and insertion in the exhibitor catalog.
  • Entrance fees to fairs.
  • Travel for one person from the entity, extendable to two for fairs and other exhibition events.
  • Accommodation for one person, or two in the case of fairs, on a room-only or bed and breakfast basis.
  • Group transfers.
  • Travel insurance, including cancellation coverage.

Deadline and electronic processing

Applications shall be submitted for the specific event chosen, according to the model in Annex II of Order EIE/29/2025, within a period of 30 calendar days from the day following the publication of the summary in the bulletin. The resulting schedule is as follows:

  • Start of the period: November 4, 2026.
  • End of the period: December 3, 2026.
  • Submission method: electronic, in accordance with Law 5/2014, of October 20, and Law 39/2015, of October 1.

Along with the application, the documentation provided for in article 10.4 of the order and the accreditation of expenses from the sixth section of the call must be provided, which includes invoices, bank receipts, tickets or boarding passes, insurance policies, and photographic evidence. The full text of the resolution can be consulted at the electronic office of the Government of La Rioja, under procedure number 25724.

Impact on the productive fabric

The call arrives with the fiscal year nearly closed and charged to the 2027 budget, meaning that Riojan SMEs and entities interested in opening foreign markets have barely one month to prepare their application and finalize the agenda for the chosen event. For a business fabric dominated by small-sized firms, public funding for travel, stands, interpreters, and destination agendas significantly reduces the cost of the first incursions into international fairs, the step that usually determines the decision to expand abroad.
