La Rinconada announces the Redcreajoven 2026 pop-rock music contest

The La Rinconada City Council has approved the regulatory bases for the call for the XIX Redcreajoven Festival and VIII Pop-Rock Music Contest 2026, a competition with 3,400 euros in prizes that seeks to promote young music groups in the province. The call is published via extract no. 219683 of Resolution 2026-4616, dated August 7, 2026, from the Mayor-President, in the Official Gazette of the province of Seville no. 166, dated August 27, 2026.

The announcement, which appears on page 147 of the gazette, is disseminated in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and its full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (BDNS) with the identifier 925644.

Who can participate

The contest is open to musical ensembles and young soloists who meet the age and residency requirements established in the bases:

• Musical ensembles composed of at least two young people between 14 and 35 years old residing in Spain.
• Individual participation for young people between 14 and 35 years old residing in Spain.
• In the local category, the ensemble must have at least one member registered as a resident in La Rinconada.

The purpose of the call is to promote young music groups in the Pop-Rock modality, and the regulatory bases were published on the municipal notice board, on the website www.larinconada.es, and in the Official Gazette of the province of Seville no. 157, dated August 14, 2026.

Prizes and categories

Six prizes are established, divided between two categories, general and local, with identical amounts in each:

• 1st prize: €850.00 and a commemorative gift.
• 2nd prize: €550.00 and a commemorative gift.
• 3rd prize: €300.00 and a commemorative gift.

Deadline and method of submission

Applications may be submitted from the day following the publication of the extract in the provincial gazette, through the BDNS, and until October 9, 2026. The application shall be formalized using the corresponding form (Annex 1), accompanied by a photocopy of the ID (DNI) of all members and a digital file or download link containing at least two tracks from the group.

Documentation may be delivered to the General Registry of La Rinconada (Plaza de España no. 6), the General Registry of the Deputy Mayor’s Office of San José de La Rinconada (Plaza Juan Ramón Jiménez), the City Council’s electronic office, or by any other means admitted in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure. Additionally, an email must be sent to juventud@aytolarinconada.es announcing the submission.

Jury and conditions

The jury will be chaired by the Ms. Delegate of the Youth Area and composed of two technicians from the City Council’s Youth area and two members of the Káñamo Rock Association or other local cultural associations. The organization will provide the music equipment, stages, sound technical staff, and a drum kit as backline. The lyrics of the performed songs may not contain offensive symbols, violent, obscene, xenophobic, sexist content, or any other that attacks the dignity of individuals.

The call, signed on August 25, 2026, by the Mayor-President, Francisco Javier Fernández de los Ríos Torres, consolidates a competition that has become a reference event for the young musical scene of the region, offering emerging bands a platform for visibility and an economic stimulus to continue creating.
