La Región convoca seis millones en ayudas a la economía social

The Regional Ministry of Business, Employment and Social Economy of the Region of Murcia has announced five aid programs for the promotion of the social economy for the year 2026, with a combined initial credit of 6,052,500 euros, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+). The calls for applications are published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) number 210, dated September 11, 2026, in section I, Autonomous Community, section 3, Other Provisions, and bear the signature of the regional minister Luis Alberto Marín González.

The aid is aimed at small and medium-sized social economy enterprises and business organizations of the sector with a registered social and tax address in the Region, and is granted for workplaces located therein. The application period opens on the date the call order comes into force and concludes on October 13, 2026, except for program 5, whose deadline closes one month after its entry into force.

Five programs, five objectives

Each call serves a different purpose within the promotion of the social economy, with its own beneficiaries, amounts, and conditions:

  • Program 1 (NPE A-110926-4340, BDNS 928486): 2,750,000 euros to subsidize the hiring of worker-members on indefinite and full-time contracts, with grants between 7,000 and 11,500 euros depending on the group (women, those at risk of exclusion, youth under 30, or people with disabilities).
  • Program 2 (NPE A-110926-4341, BDNS 928500): 750,000 euros to finance monetary contributions to share capital, up to 25% of the subscribed and paid-up capital, with a maximum of 4,000 euros per member.
  • Program 3 (NPE A-110926-4342, BDNS 928512): 1,610,000 euros to finance investments in fixed assets, with non-repayable grants of up to 30% and coverage of up to 50% of loan interest, with a maximum of 40,000 euros per entity.
  • Program 4 (NPE A-110926-4343, BDNS 928521): 100,000 euros for technical assistance to cooperative societies and labor societies during their constitution, with a maximum of 1,000 euros per assistance and company.
  • Program 5 (NPE A-110926-4344, BDNS 928531): 842,500 euros to promote and consolidate representative or associative structures of the social economy, with tiered grants based on the number of associated companies and permanent workers.

Regulatory framework and conditions

The five calls for applications are based on the Order of June 11, 2025, of the Ministry of Enterprise, Employment, and Social Economy, which approves the regulatory bases for subsidies for social economy promotion programs in the Region of Murcia (BORM no. 135, of 06.14.2025), as amended by the Order of June 12, 2026 (BORM no. 138, of 06.18.2026). The summaries are published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (BDNS).

The granting of aid is carried out on a competitive basis. In program 1, a maximum of six jobs per entity and one grant per person are subsidized; in program 2, contributions from up to six worker-partners per company; and in program 3, a minimum investment of 12,000 euros, excluding recoverable VAT, is required. Eligible actions are generally computed from October 1, 2025.

Impact on the sector

With nearly six million euros mobilized, the call strengthens the cooperative and worker-owned society fabric of the Region, both in the creation and consolidation of companies and in the incorporation of new worker-partners and the modernization of their investments. The deadline, open until mid-October, offers interested entities a limited window to submit their applications and access European funds destined for a social and participatory business model.
