La Puebla de Montalbán increases its budget by 613,224 euros

The Plenary Session of the City Council of La Puebla de Montalbán (Toledo), in a session held on August 27, 2026, agreed to dismiss the claim submitted during the public exhibition period and to definitively approve credit modification file 25/2026, for a total amount of 613,224.25 euros. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo, number 172, dated September 9, 2026, page 22.
The modification is processed under the modalities of extraordinary credit and credit supplement, and is fully financed by the treasury surplus for general expenses. The publication is carried out in accordance with articles 169.3 and 177.2 of the consolidated text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5.
Extraordinary Credits
The bulk of the expansion corresponds to extraordinary credits, totaling 509,629.52 euros, with a decisive weight in real investments:
- Chapter 2 (Current Expenses on Goods and Services): 10,000.00 euros.
- Chapter 6 (Real Investments): 499,629.52 euros.
Credit Supplements
Credit supplements amount to 103,594.73 euros, distributed among personnel expenses, goods and services, transfers, and investments:
- Chapter 1 (Personnel Expenses): 17,478.58 euros.
- Chapter 2 (Current Expenses on Goods and Services): 67,250.00 euros.
- Chapter 4 (Current Transfers): 10,866.15 euros.
- Chapter 6 (Real Investments): 8,000.00 euros.
Financing and Entry into Force
The revenue status is covered by Chapter 8 (Financial Assets, treasury surplus for general expenses) for the same amount of 613,224.25 euros, guaranteeing the balance of the operation. The budget modification will enter into force once the announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo.
A contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly against the definitive approval agreement before the competent jurisdictional body within two months from the day following publication, pursuant to article 171 of the consolidated text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries and article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction. The announcement appears signed on September 2, 2026, by the mayor, Raúl Ruíz Díaz.
The operation strengthens the investment capacity of the municipality, which allocates nearly 500,000 euros to real investments, key for the execution of local public works, without resorting to debt as it is financed by the treasury surplus.
