La Puebla de Híjar cede a ADIF suelo para ampliar las vías

The City Council of La Puebla de Híjar has initially approved the transfer to ADIF –Railway Infrastructure Administrator– of three municipally-owned plots intended to extend the siding tracks of the station to a useful length of 750 meters. The agreement, adopted by the Plenary in an ordinary session on September 10, 2026, is now published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel no. 207, of October 28, 2026, under reference 2026-3137. Interested parties have one month to submit allegations regarding the file.

The operation is formalized as a subjective mutation of public domain through the transfer of ownership, meaning the assets pass to ADIF but maintain their nature as public domain: they are not removed from the public domain, but rather change the holding Administration. The City Council is processing the agreement in accordance with Article 177 of Law 7/1999, of April 9, on Local Administration of Aragon, and Article 14 of Decree 347/2002, of November 19.

Three plots in polygons 2 and 3

The lands subject to the transfer are the following municipal real estate assets, identified by their cadastral reference:

  • 44202A002090140000MD: polygon 2, plot 9014, Camino (part).
  • 44202A003090060000MY: polygon 3, plot 9006, Camin (part).
  • 44202A003000310000MD: polygon 3, plot 31, Valletas (part).

In all three cases, these are portions of plots –as indicated by the mention “part” in the announcement description– located on rural land within the municipal district and affected by the existing railway layout.

Purpose: railway public domain

The allocation of these assets is justified by the execution of the project titled “Construction projects for the extension of siding tracks to a useful length of 750 m in stations of the Zaragoza–Tarragona section via Caspe. Stations of Fuentes de Ebro and La Puebla de Híjar.” The agreement incorporates the land into the railway public domain, which binds its use exclusively to the infrastructure and excludes other municipal uses.

The project affects two stations of the aforementioned corridor: Fuentes de Ebro, in the province of Zaragoza, and La Puebla de Híjar, in the province of Teruel, the latter being the head of the district transferring the land.

One month to appeal via the electronic office

The plenary agreement and the complete file are subject to public information for a period of one month, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement, that is, from October 29, 2026. During this period, interested parties may formulate any allegations or claims they deem appropriate.

The documentation is available to interested parties on the electronic office of the La Puebla de Híjar City Council: https://lapuebladehijar.sedelectronica.es. If no allegation or claim is presented within the deadline, the agreement will be understood as definitively approved, without the need for a new plenary agreement.

The announcement is signed by the City Council as of the date of the electronic signature and appears on page 19 of the provincial bulletin, within the announcements of the official section.

The decision directly affects the future of the La Puebla de Híjar station and, by extension, the users and operators of the Zaragoza–Tarragona railway corridor via Caspe: the transfer of municipal land is the preliminary step for ADIF to execute the expansion of the siding tracks up to a useful length of 750 meters. The procedure also opens a real participation period for owners of adjacent estates and territorial agents who wish to file allegations regarding the change of use of these communal lands.
