Por FactBox Admin

The Government of Aragon and the Zaragoza City Council have signed a collaboration agreement to technologically integrate the services of the Zaragoza Local Police into the systems of the 112 Aragon Emergency Center. The agreement, signed on July 28, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 161, dated August 20, 2026, via Order PJC/1229/2026, dated August 6.

The publication is made in section III, Other Provisions and Agreements, following the registration of the agreement in the General Registry of Agreements of the Autonomous Community under number 2026/6/0350. The full text can be consulted in the registry itself (aragon.es/registrodeconvenios).

An agreement between two administrations

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Finance, Interior and Public Administration of the Government of Aragon and by the Mayor-President of the Zaragoza City Council. The publication order is signed, by delegation, by the Technical General Secretary of Presidency, Justice, Culture and Sport, Cristina Asensio Grijalba, in Zaragoza on August 6, 2026.

The processing is supported by the regional regulatory framework for agreements:

  • Law 5/2021, of June 29, on the Organization and Legal Regime of the Autonomous Public Sector of Aragon (Article 151, paragraphs 5 and 6).
  • Decree 57/2012, of March 7, of the Government of Aragon, regulating the General Registry of Agreements of the Autonomous Community of Aragon (Article 13).

Purpose of the agreement

The objective of the agreement is the technological integration of the Zaragoza Local Police services into the systems of the 112 Aragon Emergency Center. This aims to improve emergency coordination between the municipal force and the regional emergency response center.

The integration will allow the resources and alerts of the Local Police to be managed jointly with the rest of the emergency services operating through 112, reinforcing the response to incidents in the municipality of Zaragoza.

Relevance for citizens

The incorporation of the Zaragoza Local Police into 112 Aragon represents a step toward unified emergency management in the Aragonese capital. Citizens will benefit from more agile coordination between the municipal police and other emergency bodies and services, with potentially shorter response times and more efficient care for any incident.
