La Palma publishes the final list for General Administration Technician

The Island Council of La Palma has published the final list of admitted and excluded applicants for the filling, via competitive examination, of one position for General Administration Technician, belonging to the General Administration Scale, Technical Subscale, Higher Technician Class, Group A, Subgroup A1. The resolution, signed on August 17, 2026, also sets the first exercise of the examination phase for November 13, 2026.

The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife number 102, dated August 26, 2026, with registration number 1766686 and file 11/2025/RH-CONV, through the Human Resources Service of the island corporation.

A process that began in the 2021 PEP

The position is part of the ordinary Public Employment Offer (PEP) of 2021, approved by Agreement of the Island Government Council on December 17, 2021, and published in the BOP number 154, dated December 24, 2021. The specific rules were approved on December 20, 2024, and published in the BOP number 155, dated December 25, 2024, with an extract in the Official State Gazette number 73, dated March 26, 2025.

The application period opened on March 27, 2025, and concluded on April 25, 2025. Following the correction period provided for in the Fifth Rule, the Human Resources Service has compiled the final list, incorporating those who proved the requirements within the deadline and maintaining the exclusion of those who did not correct them.

The final list shows a total of 111 admitted applicants and 63 excluded, who must correct their status or appeal within the legal deadlines. Among the reasons for exclusion are sections 4.1, 6.1, 6.3, 8.2, and 5.2 of the rules, relating to qualification, documentation, and accreditation requirements.

Tribunal and first exercise

The resolution designates the Qualifying Tribunal, chaired by Ana Montserrat García Rodríguez, Secretary-Auditor of the Municipal Assistance Service of the Council, with Alejandro José Brito González as substitute. Noelia Lorenzo Morera, Secretary of the City Council of Santa Cruz de La Palma, acts as secretary, and Francisco Morales Fernández, Francisco Rodríguez Pérez, and Carmen Isabel Montesino Pérez act as members.

The first exercise of the theoretical part of the examination will be held:

• Location: University School of Nursing of La Palma, Carretera Las Nieves, nº 158, Santa Cruz de La Palma.
• Date: November 13, 2026.
• Time: 16:30 hours.

The resolution, which exhausts administrative remedies, may be appealed for reconsideration before the Presidency of the Corporation within one month, or directly through contentious-administrative channels within two months before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The publication of this final list clears the uncertainty for the dozens of applicants competing for one of the highest-level positions in the Cabildo’s civil service scale, and marks the effective start of a selection process that has been dragging on since the 2021 job offer. With the calendar now set, those admitted have less than three months to prepare for the first theoretical exercise.
