La Mancomunidad del Tajuña abre al público su Cuenta General de 2025

The Mancomunidad de Aguas del Río Tajuña (Tajuña River Water Association) has opened the General Account for the 2025 fiscal year to the public, which will remain on display for a period of fifteen days so that interested parties may submit claims, objections, or observations. The announcement is signed by the entity’s president, Marcos Cascajero Cascajero, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara, number 208, dated Friday, October 30, 2026, within the Associations section.

The procedure complies with Article 212 of the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which requires the General Account to be submitted for public information before its final approval. The official text specifies that the account has been previously reported by the association’s special accounts commission, a requirement that leads to the exhibition phase.

Fifteen days to claim and consult

The announcement specifies the conditions of the procedure:

  • Period: fifteen days of public exhibition of the General Account for the 2025 fiscal year.
  • Purpose: submission of claims, objections, or observations that interested parties deem appropriate.
  • Prior report: special accounts commission of the Mancomunidad de Aguas del Río Tajuña.
  • Place of consultation: electronic headquarters of the association itself, where the document remains available to interested parties.
  • Date and place of signing: Chiloeches, October 28, 2026.

The publication includes the verification code 286e428b69a5f2956cc6b07bd89e317b83129b, which allows the authenticity of the announcement to be verified on the electronic headquarters of the provincial gazette.

Control over water accounts

The Mancomunidad de Aguas del Río Tajuña is the supra-municipal entity that manages the water supply within its territorial scope, such that its General Account reflects the allocation of income and expenses of the service during 2025. The public exhibition is the moment when the member town councils, users, and any person with a legitimate interest can examine those accounts before they are closed.

The procedure does not suspend the ordinary activity of the entity, but it does open a formal window for challenge: the observations submitted must be addressed before the final approval of the accounting document.

The same procedure in other entities

The case of the Tajuña association is not an isolated one in the province. The “La Alcarria” Association of Municipalities published its 2025 General Account in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara, number 183, dated September 25, 2026, with an identical fifteen-day period and the same legal basis in article 212 of the local treasury regulations. That announcement was signed by the president Raquel Polo Castillo in Armuña de Tajuña, and referred to the entity’s electronic office for the consultation of the file.

Both cases confirm that the final stretch of the year is the usual period in which the province’s associations render accounts of the previous exercise to the citizenry.

The relevance of the announcement is twofold: for the supplied municipalities, because they can review how the water service resources have been managed; and for the residents, because they have a regulated channel to question the accounts before they are definitively approved. The fifteen-day period runs from the publication in the provincial gazette, therefore any allegation must be submitted within that margin and through the means enabled in the association’s electronic office.
