La Línea appoints Sergio Tejedor as graphic design technician

The City Council of La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz) has appointed Sergio Tejedor Vilches as a career civil servant to permanently occupy a position as a Graphic Design Technician, classified under the General Administration Scale, Auxiliary Subscale, Group C, Subgroup C2, full-time. The decision, adopted by Decree on August 11, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz number 163, dated August 25, 2026.

The appointment is part of the 2021 Extraordinary Offer for the Stabilization of Temporary Employment, provided for in the sixth additional provision of Law 20/2021, of December 28, on urgent measures for the reduction of temporality in public employment, and is resolved through the merit-based competition system, open category.

A merit-based selection process

The process began with the publication of the call for applications in the BOP of Cádiz no. 228, of November 29, 2022, in the BOJA no. 94, of May 19, 2023, and via an announcement in the BOE no. 180, of July 27, 2023. On July 2, 2026, the Qualifying Board made the appointment proposal in favor of the applicant who obtained the highest final score.

The file included a favorable report from the Head of Human Resources, dated August 5, 2026, and the audit of the Acting Fund Comptroller (report no. 2026/4592, of August 7, 2026). The Decree was registered in the Book of Resolutions under no. 03423/2026 (LIPER-00378-2026).

Assumption of office and procedures

The interested party must take office within a maximum period of three calendar days from the day following the publication of the resolution in the BOP of Cádiz, after taking an oath or making a promise in accordance with Royal Decree 707/1979, of April 5. The resolution will be reported to the Plenary in the next ordinary session, in compliance with article 42 of Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28, on the Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Corporations.

The document is signed by the acting mayor, Juan Domingo Macías Pérez, via Decree no. 3281/2026, of August 4, 2026, and is published on the notice board of the City Council’s corporate website (www.lalinea.es).

Relevance of the measure

This appointment consolidates a position within the local administration of La Línea de la Concepción, reducing temporary employment in the municipal public sector within the framework of the stabilization promoted by Law 20/2021. The permanent filling of the Graphic Design Technician position reinforces the staff of the city council’s communication and transparency area, guaranteeing the continuity of a technical service that until now had been covered on a temporary basis.
