The Regional Government distributes 1.77 million to rehabilitate six supply markets

The Regional Government of Extremadura (Junta de Extremadura) has publicized the grants awarded for the rehabilitation, modernization, and technological transformation of the region’s supply markets, for a total amount of 1,774,857.84 euros. The announcement, signed on August 12, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (Diario Oficial de Extremadura) number 161, dated August 20, 2026, in the Announcements section, under official reference 2026081414.
The subsidies are granted under Decree 127/2025, of September 9, which establishes the regulatory bases for these grants and approves the first call for the 2025 financial year, published in DOE number 186, dated September 26. The awarding procedure is processed under a competitive bidding regime through periodic calls.
Six beneficiary city councils
The call, endowed with 1,900,000 euros charged to the 2025 annual budget, distributes the credit among six Extremaduran municipalities. The cost of the actions is attributed to Program 341A “Quality Trade and Extremaduran Craftsmanship,” charged to management center 140030000, budget application 14.003.341A.760.00 and expenditure project code 20240551, financed by State Transfers (fund code TE32004001).

Publicity and transparency
In accordance with Article 19 of the regulatory decree, the call and the granted subsidies are published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura, on the Autonomous Community Grants Portal, and on the Transparency Portal of the Regional Government of Extremadura, and are submitted to the National Grants Database. Furthermore, in accordance with Article 17 of Law 6/2011, of March 23, on subsidies of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, the call, the program and budget credit, the beneficiary, the amount granted, and the purpose of each grant are stated.
The announcement was signed in Mérida on August 12, 2026, by the Secretary General for Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, Juan Carlos Preciado Rodríguez, exercising the signing delegations of the Director General for Competitive Intelligence and Trade and the Secretary General, pursuant to the resolutions of May 8 and 9, 2026 (DOE number 90, dated May 13).
