The Regional Government will pay late-payment interest to those expropriated for the A-311

The Territorial Delegation of Housing, Youth, Territorial Planning, Development, and Mobility in Jaén has summoned the owners of the properties expropriated for the road safety improvement works on the A-311 highway, from P.K. 27+400 to the end, within the municipal boundaries of La Higuera and Andújar, for the upcoming October 20, 2026. The announcement, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 185, dated September 23, 2026, with reference 2026/4213, corresponds to file number 4 regarding late payment interest. The summons is addressed to the holders, who must attend personally or through an authorized representative.

Payment will be made once the corresponding release for file number 4 of late payment interest from the compulsory expropriation file of the properties affected by the work, identified with the key 02-JA-2384-0000-PC, has been executed. The resolution is adopted in compliance with the provisions of Article 49 of the Compulsory Expropriation Regulations of April 26, 1957. The announcement was signed in Jaén on September 8, 2026, by the territorial delegate, Miguel Contreras López.

• La Higuera: October 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at the La Higuera Town Hall (Jaén).
• Andújar: October 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at the Andújar Town Hall (Jaén).
• Interested parties must attend personally or through a representative duly authorized by a general or special power of attorney for this case.
• It is mandatory to present the National Identity Document at the time of payment.
• Third parties who consider themselves to have a better right to receive the compensation may appear on the indicated day, time, and place, provided with the documents supporting their intervention.

A process advancing in installments

The publication of this edict is in addition to that of file number 2 regarding late payment interest, disseminated in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 183, dated September 21, 2026, with reference 2026/4183, which set the payment for October 8, 2026, in the same two town halls and with an identical schedule. In that announcement, the list of affected parties included, among others, properties no. 1 and 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, 9, 10 and 11, 14, 17 and 18, 19, 24 and 140. The Territorial Delegation is thus processing the various late payment interest files derived from the same expropriation in a staggered manner.

The impact of the call is direct for the owners of the properties affected by the improvement of the A-311, who must appear on the set date and time to collect the late payment interest accumulated due to the delay in the payment of the expropriation compensation. Anyone who does not attend on the designated day, or fails to prove their identity and representation, must wait for a new summons, while third parties with a superior right may use this same appearance to make a claim.
