Por FactBox Admin

The Ministry of the Presidency of the Regional Government of Castilla y León has appointed as career civil servants of the Higher Faculty Body, Health Scale (Doctors) the fourteen candidates who passed the open access selection process convened in 2025. The appointment is formalized through Order PRE/961/2026, of September 23, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León (BOCYL) number 190, of September 30, 2026, which also includes the allocation of the corresponding destinations. The new civil servants must take office within one month starting from the day following the publication.
An order signed by the Minister of the Presidency
The order bears the signature of the Minister of the Presidency, Luis Miguel González Gago, and is issued under the powers that article 7.2.l) of Law 7/2005, of May 24, on the Civil Service of Castilla y León attributes to the minister competent in matters of the Civil Service. The text is based on the eleventh clause of the call and on the list of successful candidates approved by the Resolution of July 16, 2026, of the Vice-Ministry of Public Administrations, Institutional Relations and Citizen Services, published in the BOCYL on July 21.
The original selection process was convened by the Resolution of July 28, 2025, of the Vice-Ministry of Public Administrations and Citizen Services, for entry via the open access system into said body, within the 2023-2024 public employment offer (call SELL24_2211AE20). The order is issued once the deadline for the submission of the documentation required from the candidates has elapsed.

At the act of assumption of office, the appointees must present the declaration provided for in article 31.3 of Decree 227/1997, of November 20, regarding incompatibilities of personnel in the service of the regional Administration, and take an oath or promise to abide by the Constitution, the Statute of Autonomy, and the laws, according to article 36.1 c) of Law 7/2005 and Royal Decree 707/1979, of April 5.
Against the order, which exhausts the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of Valladolid of the High Court of Justice of Castilla y León within two months, or an optional appeal for reversal before the Ministry of the Presidency within one month.
Reinforcement of the regional health workforce
The appointment consolidates fourteen physician positions within the regional Administration and distributes the personnel across territorial services in nine provinces, with a special presence in Valladolid, Salamanca, León, and Soria. The measure provides definitive coverage for positions linked to public health, epidemiology, surveillance, and health planning, key areas for the community’s preventive response.
