The Board appoints 51 career civil servant veterinarians and assigns their destinations

The Ministry of the Presidency of the Regional Government of Castilla y León has appointed career civil servants to the Higher Health Faculty Body (Veterinarians) for the candidates who passed the stabilization selection process and has assigned their destinations. The decision is formalized in ORDER PRE/902/2026, of September 14, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León (BOCYL) no. 181, of September 17, 2026. The same order declares four candidates to have forfeited their right as they did not provide the required documentation nor request the assignment of any position within the granted period.

The call was approved by Resolution of November 24, 2022, of the Vice-Ministry of Public Administrations and Citizen Services, via a competition system, within the framework of the temporary employment stabilization process provided for in Law 20/2021, of December 28, on urgent measures for the reduction of temporality in public employment. Subsequently, the Resolution of May 26, 2026, of the same body approved and published the complementary list of candidates who passed the process, offering the corresponding positions.

The new appointments are added to those already made via Order PRE/1359/2025, of November 27. The order is signed in Valladolid, on September 14, 2026, by the Minister of the Presidency, Luis Miguel González Gago, under article 7.2.l) of Law 7/2005, of May 24, on the Public Service of Castilla y León.

Fifty-one appointments and four forfeitures

The order is resolved in six sections. The first declares the forfeiture of the right to be appointed as civil servants of the body for the four candidates who did not provide documentation nor request a destination:

• Ana Teresa García Prieto
• Manuel María Villarino Bravo
• Manuel Ángel Blanco Zancas
• Emilio Campos Pérez

The second section appoints career civil servants for the candidates who did prove compliance with the requirements and assigns them the job positions listed in the annex, on a provisional basis. The list includes 51 people, identified by order number, surnames, and first name, under the open entry system.

Destinations distributed between Health and Agriculture

The assigned positions depend on two ministries and are distributed across the nine provinces. Among the destinations are:

• José Javier Garrote Pascual, at the Béjar Veterinary Unit (Salamanca), under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development.
• Nuria López Boutefeu, at the Miranda de Ebro District (Burgos), of the Ministry of Health.
• Antonio Luis Pérez Sánchez and Diego Gutiérrez Burguillo, at the Animal Health Laboratory of Ávila.
• Luis Álvarez Fernández, as Specialist Veterinarian in Villablino (León).
• Ana Iglesias Tejeda, as Veterinary Director of Slaughterhouse/Food Industry in Íscar (Valladolid).
• Beatriz López Pleite and Nuria Pinillos Fernández, as Veterinarians for Aid in Riaza and Santa María la Real de Nieva (Segovia).

The annex details for each position the order number, group A1, the destination supplement level 23 or 24, the specific supplement, the town, the province, and the assigned function, with references such as FCA104, FCA105, FCA106, FCA111, and FCA014.

Assumption of Office and Appeals

The appointed candidates must assume office within one month, counting from the day following the publication of the order, before the Secretary General or the corresponding Territorial Delegate. At that act, they must present the declaration provided for in article 31.3 of Decree 227/1997, of November 20, regarding incompatibilities of personnel in the service of the regional Administration, and take an oath or promise to abide by the Constitution and the Statute of Autonomy.

Against the order, which exhausts the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Castilla y León within two months from the day following its publication. Optionally, a request for reversal may be filed before the Ministry of the Presidency within one month.

The appointment consolidates veterinarian positions in the official animal health and veterinary public health services of Castilla y León, with destinations reaching districts, basic health zones, regional agricultural sections, and veterinary units throughout the rural environment. The filling of these positions reinforces the official control of agricultural production and food safety in the Community.
