The Regional Government modifies the list of positions in Economy and Social Welfare

The Regional Ministry of Finance, Public Administrations and Digital Transformation has modified the list of job positions (RPT) for civil service personnel of the ministries of Economy, Business and Employment and Social Welfare, through two resolutions dated August 19, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha (DOCM no. 163) on August 26, 2026. The changes, which create and suppress positions in Albacete, Talavera de la Reina, Ciudad Real, and Toledo, enter into force the day following their publication.

The resolutions are issued under article 46.3.a) of Law 5/2025, of December 19, on the General Budgets of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha for 2026 (DOCM no. 250 of 12-29-2025). Both were processed at the proposal of the respective general secretariats, were negotiated in the Sectoral Table for Civil Service Personnel, and have a favorable report from the General Directorate of Budgets. The resolution regarding Economy, Business and Employment bears reference 2026/6264 and that of Social Welfare, 2026/6263.

New positions in Economy, Business and Employment

Resolution 2026/6264 creates three positions in the Ministry of Economy, Business and Employment, effective the day following its publication, with one exception:

• Employment Office Assistant (code 15844), group C2, in the Albacete II Employment Office.
• Public Relations Assistant (code 15845), group C2, in the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry in Talavera de la Reina.
• Senior Support Technician (code 15874), group A1, in the Provincial Delegation of Albacete, whose effects are retroactive to June 17, 2026.

Reorganization in Social Welfare

Resolution 2026/6263 restructures the General Directorate of Childhood and Family and the provincial delegations of Social Welfare. A position of Head of the Child Protection Service (code 15864), group A1, is created in the central services of Toledo, and the position of Head of the Child Care Service (code 06832), also in Toledo, is suppressed. Additionally, two positions of Head of Administrative Section (Cashier-Paymaster) are created in Ciudad Real:

• Code 15840, group C1/C2, in the Provincial Delegation of Social Welfare.
• Code 11069, group C2/C1, in the same delegation.

Appeal deadlines

Against both resolutions, which exhaust the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed within two months before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Toledo, in accordance with Law 29/1998, of July 13. Optionally, a request for reversal may also be presented to the Ministry of Finance within one month, according to articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

The reorganization of the RPT (Personnel Structure Report) directly affects candidates and officials of the Junta de Comunidades, as it defines which positions remain vacant and which are amortized. The creation of a specific service head for Child Protection reinforces the structure of the Directorate General for Children and Family, while the suppression of the head of Child Care and the creation of cashier-payer positions in Ciudad Real reconfigure the Social Welfare staff in the province.
