The Provincial Electoral Board publishes the free venues for 29N
Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Electoral Board of Zamora has made public the list of official venues and free public spaces for holding campaign events for the general elections on November 29. The edict, signed on October 16 by the Board’s secretary, María Inés Santiago Alejos, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Zamora No. 124, today October 21, with the official reference R-202602425. The list is sent to town halls throughout the province and determines which spaces parties may use for free during the campaign.
The call corresponds to the elections for the Congress of Deputies and the Senate set by Royal Decree 806/2026, of October 5, for Sunday, November 29, 2026. The text is issued, as stated in the edict itself, “in compliance with the provisions of Art. 57 of the LOREG,” the precept that obliges town halls to reserve venues for free use and to enable spaces for the placement of electoral propaganda.
The publication occupies 45 pages of the gazette, from page 28 to 72, and is organized by districts: the zonal electoral boards of Zamora, Benavente, Toro, Puebla de Sanabria, and Villalpando, all with a closing date of October 16, 2026. Each provides the list approved by its respective town hall, including the address of the property, the hours of use, and, where applicable, the number of available seats.
A map of free spaces in five districts
The repertoire repeats a common pattern in the rural areas of Zamora: plenary and event halls of town halls, former schools, cultural centers, teleclubs, retirees’ clubs, and medical clinics, with schedules ranging from free use “any day and time” to specific afternoon slots, often starting at 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM and requiring prior request to the town hall.
For propaganda, the town halls enable lampposts and public lighting poles, notice boards, frontons, walls of municipal buildings, waste containers, scales, and water tanks. Several municipalities warn that they do not have specific panels and only authorize urban furniture elements whose use is not prohibited by current regulations.
Zamora city: La Alhóndiga del Pan and 34 fences
In the capital, the reserved venue is La Alhóndiga del Pan, available from November 13 to 27 during morning hours from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and afternoon hours from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The edict is accompanied by an occupancy chart for the event hall that alternates days reserved for “Elections” with those already committed.
The City Council of Zamora also makes available to the parties a network of public lighting supports distributed across streets and avenues, with special attention to the sections of Avenida Cardenal Cisneros, Avenida de Galicia, and Avenida de Requejo, where it is noted that the columns are recently installed. Technical specifications require the placement of protective rubbers and prohibit fixing clamps directly onto the supports.
- 34 billboards of 3.66 x 1.83 meters, which will be installed by the works manager.
- Locations: Plaza Mayor (3), Avenida de Requejo (3), Plaza de Castilla y León (2), Plaza de Viriato (2), Puerta de la Feria (2), and Barrio de San José Obrero (3), among others.
Capacities and schedules: from Puebla de Sanabria to Villalpando
- Puebla de Sanabria: assembly hall of the Town Hall (50 seats), assembly hall of the Castle (100), social hall of Castellanos (30), retirees’ club of Ungilde (40), and social hall of Robledo (30), all from 11:00 to 20:00 hours.
- Manzanal de Arriba: former school of Manzanal, Sagallos, and Codesal (50 seats each) and 30 seats in Folgoso, Linarejos, Pedroso, and Sandín, from 20:00 to 22:00 hours.
- Benavente: Casa de la Cultura de la Encomienda, Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00 hours, with billboards in Plaza Mayor, Avenida el Ferial, and Plaza de la Madera, among other areas.
- Toro: assembly hall of the Colegio Hospital de la Cruz, with posters in Plaza San Francisco and banners on the Ronda de Corredera and Avenida Carlos Latorre.
- Villalpando: assembly hall of the Town Hall, from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 22:00 hours.
- Alcañices: Toriles hall, from 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with schools and clinics in the annexes of Vivinera, Alcorcillo, and Santa Ana.
Municipalities without spaces and inherited references
Some city councils acknowledge not having suitable locations. Salce indicates that “there are no available locations” for propaganda, while Valcabado, Moreruela de los Infanzones, Peñausende, Requejo, and Pedralba de la Pradería refer to street furniture. The text from the Granja de Moreruela City Council maintains, in the schedule of the multi-purpose hall, an exception for April 25 and May 1 and 2, 2015, carried over from previous calls.
The publication reaches voters less than six weeks before the election date and sets the rules of the game for the campaign: parties now know which premises they can request free of charge and where they can place posters and banners, while city councils are obliged to guarantee their opening and use under equal conditions during the fifteen days of the campaign.
