Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Electoral Board of Ciudad Real has made public the official premises and public spaces that city councils provide free of charge for campaign events for the General Court elections on November 29, 2026, including their schedules, capacities, and exceptions municipality by municipality. The list is published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) of Ciudad Real number 203, dated this Wednesday, October 21, 2026, within announcement number 3403, which begins on page 9935. The list covers a hundred municipalities and annexes distributed among the seven zonal electoral boards of the province.
The announcement is based on Article 57.1 of the LOREG, which obliges city councils to make official local premises and public spaces of free use available to candidates for electoral propaganda, and is accompanied by the list of spaces reserved for posters, banners, and streamers provided for in Article 56. The electoral campaign takes place between November 13 and 27, 2026, a timeframe that appears as a reference in a large part of the published availabilities.
The publication comes after the zonal electoral boards have closed their distributions. The Zonal Electoral Board of Valdepeñas, presided over by Teresa Diego de Miguel, with judicial members Verónica Villar Antón and Diego Martínez Sotorra, and Marina Ruiz Rubio as secretary, approved on October 19 the minutes for the distribution of spaces and supports, disseminated as announcement number 3404.
A hundred localities with schedules and capacities
The document organizes the resources by zonal electoral board and, within each one, by municipality. In the Alcázar de San Juan zone, the following are listed: Alcázar, Cinco Casas, Alameda de Cervera, Arenales de San Gregorio, Argamasilla de Alba, Campo de Criptana, Herencia, Pedro Muñoz, Puerto Lápice, Ruidera, Socuéllamos, and Tomelloso; in Ciudad Real, 32 municipalities, from Alcoba to Villar del Pozo, including the capital; and the rest are detailed in those of Daimiel, Manzanares, Puertollano, Valdepeñas, and Villanueva de los Infantes.
The examples illustrate the disparity of available means:
- Puerto Lápice: Multi-purpose room of the City Hall, enclosed, for 100 people, from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 23:00, except on November 27.
- Socuéllamos: Assembly Hall of the “Casa Carmen Arias” Center, for 100 people, Monday to Friday from 19:30 to 22:00, in addition to outdoor squares and parks.
- Moral de Calatrava: Cultural Hall for 300 people, Municipal Auditorium for 350, Municipal Market for 200, and a toy library room for 100, available 24 hours a day.
- Almuradiel: Retirees’ Home, capacity of 50, from 18:00 to 23:00 every day of the campaign.
- Argamasilla de Alba: the Assembly Hall of the “Azorín” C.P. admits 40 people.
Ciudad Real capital: 30 open venues and 13 enclosed
In the capital, the Zonal Electoral Board distinguishes between open and closed venues. The open venues, with hours from 10:00 to 24:00, number around thirty and include Plaza del Pilar, Gasset and Talaverana Park, Atocha Park, Puerta de Toledo, Paseo Pablo Picasso, Plaza de la Constitución, Reina Sofía Park, and Antonio Gascón Park, among others.
The closed venues, with hours from 19:00 to 24:00, total thirteen and correspond to halls in social centers: Pío XII, Fuensanta Neighborhood Center, Juan de Ávila, Los Ángeles, La Granja, El Pilar, Valverde Cultural Center, Nieves Adán, La Poblachuela, Las Casas, Los Rosales Civic Center, Casa de la Ciudad, and Universidad Popular. In the annexes of Valverde, La Poblachuela, and Las Casas, the time slot from 11:00 to 14:00 is added on Saturdays and Sundays.
Exceptions for the voting day
Several city councils exclude specific days because their premises are dedicated to the preparation for November 29 or other activities. The Municipal Auditorium of Argamasilla de Alba cannot be used on November 14 or 27; the Casa de Cultura in Miguelturra is excluded on the 24th and 27th, and the CERE anteroom on the 14th and 21st. In Tomelloso, the Municipal Theater is only available on the 17th and 24th, and the Social Services Center of Valdepeñas only on November 17 and 24, from 17:00 to 19:00.
Proportional distribution by vote and notification to parties
The Zonal Electoral Board of Valdepeñas agrees that the distribution of premises and supports will be carried out according to the total number of votes obtained by each candidacy in the previous equivalent elections, rounding percentages to the nearest whole number to facilitate distribution. The same board delegates the execution of the distribution and notifications to the city council secretaries and orders the notification of the minutes to the representatives of parties and political groups.
The publication establishes the material framework for a fifteen-day campaign and allows parties and candidates to plan events without rental costs, while informing residents which squares, parks, and halls will be occupied by electoral propaganda and during which time slots.
