The Junta calls for transfers for Secondary Education, Vocational Training, and inspection teachers
Por FactBox Admin

The General Directorate of Teaching and Human Resources Management of the Ministry of Education of the Regional Government of Andalusia has announced the transfer competition for Andalusian civil servant teaching staff through two resolutions, both dated October 23, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Government of Andalusia (BOJA) no. 210, of October 29, 2026, under text nos. 14180 and 14181. The first is addressed to the educational inspection bodies and the second to the six bodies of professors, teachers, and instructors who teach Secondary Education, Vocational Training, Official Language Schools, Music and Performing Arts, and Plastic Arts and Design.
Both provisions appear under heading 2.2 of the gazette, “Competitive examinations, competitions, and other calls,” within section 2, “Authorities and personnel.” They share the same issuing body—the same general directorate—signing date, and objective: the filling of job positions in the Andalusian autonomous community through the system of voluntary mobility among civil servants.
The difference in scope between the two texts is notable. The call for educational inspection occupies 23 pages, while that for the rest of the teaching bodies extends over 168 pages, making it one of the most voluminous publications in this issue of the BOJA, corresponding to Year XLVIII of the gazette.
Two resolutions with the same governing body
The first of the resolutions, text no. 14180, announces the transfer competition for civil servant teaching staff belonging to the Bodies of Inspectors at the service of the Educational Administration and Education Inspectors, in order to fill vacant job positions in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. This refers to the group that performs supervision and advisory functions for the Andalusian educational system.
The second, text no. 14181, announces the transfer competition for career civil servants—that is, those with a permanent position, not interim teachers—of the teaching bodies detailed below, for the filling of job positions in public teaching centers. The requirement of career civil servant status is expressly stated in the title of the resolution.
With this, the Ministry of Education activates in a single day the ordinary mechanism for changing destinations for virtually all non-university teaching bodies in Andalusia, from inspection to Plastic Arts and Design workshops.
The bodies included in the general call
The longer resolution lists the target groups, which correspond to the bodies with the greatest weight in the staff of Andalusian institutes and public centers:
- Senior Teachers and Secondary Education Teachers, the largest body of the system.
- The body, to be phased out, of Technical Vocational Training Teachers.
- Senior Teachers and Teachers of Official Language Schools.
- Senior Teachers and Teachers of Music and Performing Arts.
- Senior Teachers, Teachers, and Workshop Masters of Plastic Arts and Design.
- Teachers and Specialist Professors in Singular Sectors of Vocational Training.
Added to these, via text no. 14180, are the two previously mentioned educational inspection bodies.
Deadlines, destinations, and consultation of the full text
The two resolutions contain the complete development of the procedure: the conditions for participation, the documentation that the applying personnel must provide, and the list of job positions offered as destinations in each case. The detail of vacancies, specialties, and the calendar is included in the full text published in the BOJA, whose length—23 and 168 pages—corresponds precisely to the annexes of vacancies.
The publication in the BOJA is what grants effectiveness to the call and serves as the official reference for any inquiry or claim: anyone wishing to participate must adhere to what is literally stipulated in texts no. 14180 and 14181, as the summary information does not replace the content of the resolutions.
Impact for Andalusian teaching staff
The call affects any career civil servant of these bodies who wishes to change centers or locations within Andalusia, from a Secondary teacher to an Education inspector, and conditions the configuration of the staff of public teaching centers for the following school year. Since the two resolutions were published on the same day and with the same signature date, Andalusian teaching staff have a single reference calendar to organize their transfer request.
