The Regional Ministry of Industry, Universities, Employment and Trade of the Regional Government of Castilla y León has announced grants of up to 5,000 euros for companies with workers affected by temporary employment regulation files (ERTE) involving the suspension of the employment relationship or reduction of working hours, caused by the forest fires of the summer of 2026. The measure is part of Agreement 135/2026, of July 30, of the Regional Government of Castilla y León, which programs actions for the recovery of areas affected by the forest fires of the summer of 2026. The grants are awarded through direct award and aim to ensure the maintenance of employment in the workplaces affected by the flames.

- The cause must derive from adverse meteorological phenomena, civil protection emergencies, or other extraordinary events.
- The call is supported by Agreement 135/2026 for the recovery of burned areas.
Amount and regulatory bases
The grant will cover the amount of the employer’s contributions to Social Security for common contingencies, settled and paid by the company in accordance with Additional Provision 44 of Royal Legislative Decree 8/2015, of October 30, the consolidated text of the General Social Security Law, in the work centers for which the aid is requested.
- Non-exempt contributions accrued during the eligible period are computed.
- The maximum amount per beneficiary is 5,000 euros.
- The regulatory bases are established in Order IEM/751/2026, of August 6.
Deadline and processing
The application period opens on the first day following the publication of the extract in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León and ends on November 6, 2026. The call is identified in the National Grants Database with codes BDNS 928355 and 928357, which correspond to the same text.
The full text can be consulted in the National Grants Database and on the electronic office of the Administration of the Community of Castilla y León (Tramita Castilla y León). The order is signed by the counselor Juan Carlos Suárez-Quiñones Fernández, in Valladolid, on September 8, 2026.
Impact for employers and employees
These grants provide direct relief for companies in the burned areas that have had to suspend or reduce labor activity due to the fires, by compensating part of the employer’s Social Security contributions. For workers, the measure reinforces employment protection at a time of particular economic vulnerability, contributing to the recovery of the municipalities affected by the fires during the summer of 2026.
