La Junta convoca 4,8 millones para ayudas al estudio del curso 2026-2027

Students pursuing university studies in Castilla y León during the 2026-2027 academic year may apply for the study grants called by the Regional Ministry of Industry, Universities, Employment, and Trade, with a budget of 4,800,000 euros. The call is published via an extract of the Order of October 29, 2026, in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León on Thursday, November 5 (reference BOCYL-D-05112026-214-8), with the identifier BDNS 937579. The application period is twenty business days starting from the day following the publication of the extract, that is, from November 6.

Two modalities and 4.8 million euros

The call is resolved under a competitive process and is aimed at students enrolled in official undergraduate or university master’s degrees at a public or private university within the Community. The total credit is divided between two lines:

  • Academic achievement: 2,650,000 euros, for students in the second and subsequent years of undergraduate studies and for those pursuing an official university master’s degree.
  • Income: 2,150,000 euros, for students in all years of official undergraduate studies.

In the academic achievement modality, the aid per beneficiary may not be less than 1 euro nor more than 20 euros per credit passed in the 2025/2026 academic year. In the income modality, the amount ranges from a minimum of 100 euros to a maximum of 600 euros per beneficiary.

Who can apply and who is excluded

Students who, while pursuing studies leading to official undergraduate or university master’s degrees at a public or private university in Castilla y León in the 2026-2027 academic year, meet the general, academic, and economic requirements set out in the call, may be beneficiaries. The following are expressly excluded:

  • Special regime education.
  • Doctoral studies.
  • Degree adaptation courses (training supplements).
  • Specialization courses and university-specific degrees (títulos propios).

Regulatory bases and processing

The call is based on the regulations approved by Order EDU/1268/2023, of November 6, modified by Order EDU/986/2024, of October 3. The extract is published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17. The full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database and on the electronic office of the Community Administration (tramitacastillayleon.jcyl.es), using the identifier BDNS 937579. The document was signed in Valladolid, on October 29, 2026, by the regional minister Juan Carlos Suárez-Quiñones Fernández.

The resolution of this line of grants arrives with the academic year already underway and joins other calls from the same department in the university sphere, such as language study grants for university students. The deadline is tight: those who let twenty business days pass from November 6 will lose the opportunity to apply for a call that will be resolved by comparing applications, rather than by mere fulfillment of requirements.

Impact for families

With 4.8 million euros, the call covers two different types of need: academic effort measured in credits passed and the family’s economic situation. For thousands of families in Castile and León, these grants complement state and regional scholarships and add to the cost of tuition, travel, and materials. The maximum amount of 600 euros in the income-based modality and the payment per credit in the achievement-based modality make the call a direct support for the maintenance of university studies in the Community.
