The Junta consolidates six Senior Body officials in six provinces

The Ministry of the Presidency of the Junta de Castilla y León has appointed six candidates who passed the selective process for the stabilization of temporary employment as career civil servants of the Superior Body of the Administration of the Community of Castilla y León. The appointment is formalized through Order PRE/897/2026, of September 10, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León number 180, of September 16, 2026 (official reference: BOCYL-D-16092026-180-3).

The order, signed by the Minister of the Presidency, Luis Miguel González Gago, assigns the new civil servants permanent posts in six provinces of the community: Zamora, Valladolid, Segovia, Ávila, Palencia, and Soria.

Stabilization Framework

The process is framed within Law 20/2021, of December 28, on urgent measures for the reduction of temporary employment in the public sector, which promoted the consolidation of positions occupied on a temporary basis. The call for the competition for access to the Superior Body was carried out through the Resolution of November 24, 2022, of the Vice-Ministry of Public Administrations and Citizen Services, published on November 29, 2022.

The complementary list of candidates who passed the process was approved and published by Resolution of June 4, 2026, of the same Vice-Ministry. Following the established period, the Ministry of the Presidency now proceeds with the appointment of those who documented their compliance with the requirements demanded in the call.

The New Civil Servants and Their Assignments

The six appointees, all via the open entry track, are assigned to different territorial services and organic units of the regional Administration:

• María Elena Martín Tejero — General Administration Technician Type 2, in the Territorial Service of the Environment of Zamora (requirement: Degree in Law).
• Ana Gonzalo de la Fuente — General Administration Technician Type 5, in the Service of Free Education and Educational Agreements of the Ministry of Education, in Valladolid.
• José Eduardo Martínez Pedroso — General Administration Technician Type 3, in the Territorial Service of Culture, Tourism and Sport of Segovia.
• María José Arévalo de Andrés — General Administration Technician Type 3, in the Provincial Management of the Public Employment Service of Ávila.
• María Elena Vigo Álvarez — General Administration Technician Type 3, in the Territorial Health Service of Palencia (requirement: Degree in Law).
• Teodora Lantada Puebla — General Administration Technician Type 2, in the Territorial Service of Mobility and Digital Transformation of Soria (requirement: Degree in Law).

Taking Office and Requirements

The appointed candidates must take possession of their posts within one month from the day following the publication of the order, before the Secretary General or the corresponding Territorial Delegate. At that time, they must present the declaration of incompatibilities provided for in Decree 227/1997, of November 20, and take an oath or promise to abide by the Constitution, the Statute of Autonomy of Castilla y León, and the laws, in accordance with Law 7/2005, of May 24, on the Public Service of Castilla y León.

Against the order, which exhausts the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the High Court of Justice of Castilla y León within two months, or an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Ministry of the Presidency within one month.

Relevance

With this order, the Junta de Castilla y León takes another step toward reducing temporary employment within its workforce, consolidating as career personnel professionals who were already providing services to the regional Administration. The allocation of permanent destinations across six provinces reinforces the presence of the regional Administration in the territory and guarantees the job stability of the new officials of the Superior Body.
