La Junta cita a los propietarios de terrenos del colector de Rena

The Regional Government of Extremadura (Junta de Extremadura) has summoned the owners of the lands affected by the project “New collector in Rena (Badajoz)” for the drafting of the minutes prior to occupation, after the expropriation was declared urgent. The summons is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz (Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de Badajoz) no. 198, dated October 15, 2026, via Announcement 3740/2026, and schedules the appearances at the Rena Town Hall on November 4, 2026.

An expropriation declared urgent by decree

The occupation of the affected assets was declared urgent by Decree 164/2026, dated September 9, published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) number 177, dated September 14, 2026. For this reason, the file is processed according to the procedure provided for in Article 52 of the Compulsory Expropriation Law (LEF), of December 16, 1954, which allows for the occupation of the land before the fair price (justiprecio) is definitively established.

The announcement, dated September 23, 2026, is signed by the Head of the Expropriations Service, Isabel Fernández de los Ríos Mesa, and is issued by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport, and Housing of the Regional Government of Extremadura, based in Mérida. The file is identified as ObraG26003 and affects the municipality of Rena, in the province of Badajoz.

  • Latest IBI (Property Tax) receipt.
  • Inheritance deeds, where applicable.

Those summoned may be accompanied, at their own expense, by their experts and a notary.

Allegations until the day of appearance

Until the date set for the drawing up of the preliminary records, interested parties may submit any allegations they deem appropriate to correct possible errors in the list of assets and rights. Allegations may be sent by email to expropiaciones@juntaex.es or submitted to the Expropriation Service of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Housing, at avenida de las Comunidades, s/n, Mérida.

Submission is also permitted at any of the registries and offices provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

The publication opens the period for the owners of Rena to defend their rights before the Junta occupies the land, a procedure that in urgent expropriations occurs before the price is fixed. Those affected must attend with documentation proving their ownership or be represented so as not to lose the opportunity to make allegations regarding the area and ownership of their plots.
