The Board authorizes Edistribución to increase electrical power in Adamuz

The Territorial Delegation of Economy, Finance and European Funds, and of University, Industry, Energy and Innovation in Córdoba has granted EDISTRIBUCIÓN Redes Digitales, S.L.U. the prior administrative authorization and the administrative construction authorization for the power increase of the distribution center CD 41758 “A.CASTILLEJO” at 25 kV, located in the municipality of Adamuz (Córdoba). The decision is formalized in the resolution of file AT 142/94-1, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba No. 195, corresponding to Thursday, October 8, 2026, on pages 14482 to 14484, with official reference BOP-A-2026-2988. The document was signed in Córdoba on August 25, 2026, by the territorial delegate, Agustín López Ortiz.

A renovation to multiply the center’s power

The authorized action consists of the renovation of the transformation center CD 41758 “A.CASTILLEJO”, an outdoor-type installation located in Polígono 11, Parcela 6, Dehesa Vieja, in Adamuz. The project submitted by the distribution company includes the following technical parameters:

• Transformation ratio: 25/0.4 kV.
• Current installed power: 25 kVA.
• Projected power: 160 kVA.
• Scope of renovation: replacement of the current 25 kVA B2 transformer with a new 160 kVA B2 one.
• Electrical switchgear: adaptation of XS fuses, gauge 15 A.

The power jump implies multiplying the center’s capacity by more than six, which will now operate on the 25 kV high-voltage network with a transformation capacity far superior to that existing until now.

Procedures, deadlines, and imposed conditions

The resolution details that in the processing of the file, the formalities provided for in Title VII, Chapter II of Royal Decree 1955/2000, of December 1, which regulates the activities of transport, distribution, marketing, supply, and the authorization procedures for electrical energy installations, have been observed. Decree 9/2011, of January 18, of the Regional Government of Andalusia, and Decree-law 26/2021, of December 14, on administrative simplification, are also applied. The technicians of the Delegation’s Energy Department issued a favorable report on the project, signed by a competent technician and endorsed by the corresponding professional association.

The authorization is granted subject to a series of conditions, including:

• The works must be executed in accordance with the project and the submitted annexes, with any variations that may be requested and authorized as applicable.
• The commissioning period shall be 24 months starting from the resolution.
• The holder must notify the Delegation of the completion of the works for the purposes of final recognition and the exploitation resolution.
• The final work direction certificate endorsed by the professional association must be provided or, failing that, the responsible declaration of the competent technician and the certificate from the high-voltage installation company.
• During execution and exploitation, the technical and safety conditions of the current regulations shall be complied with.
• The Administration may nullify the resolution if it observes non-compliance with the imposed conditions.

The proposed resolution was formulated by the head of the Energy Service, José María Pérez Gil, and elevated to final by the Territorial Delegation. Against the agreement, which does not end the administrative route, an administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) may be filed before the holder of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines within a period of one month from the day following its publication or notification, in accordance with articles 121 and 122 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, and article 115.1 of Law 9/2007, of October 22.

Background: other similar actions in the municipality

This is not the first authorization of this type received by the same company in Adamuz. In September 2026, the provincial bulletin published analogous resolutions for the power increase of other distribution centers in the municipality, including CD 60773 “J.AYLLON”, in Polígono 6, Parcela 42, Fuente Santa Alta; CD 79720 “L.SANCHEZ”, in Polígono 17, Parcela 543, Casilla de Pintor; and CD 67068 “M.J.CEBALLOS”, in Polígono 17, Parcela 65, Yeguarizas. All of them follow the same scheme: prior administrative and construction authorization for high-voltage electrical installations promoted by EDISTRIBUCIÓN Redes Digitales, S.L.U. in the municipal district of Córdoba.

Impact for the area

The renovation of the A.CASTILLEJO center reinforces the transformation capacity of the distribution network serving the surroundings of Dehesa Vieja, in Adamuz, a municipality where the company is gradually renovating several of its centers. The increase from 25 to 160 kVA allows for the absorption of a greater electrical demand without the need for new large-scale installations, and the 24-month period sets the time horizon in which the infrastructure must be operational.
