The Regional Government increases exceptional grants from the Presidency by one million

The First Vice-Presidency of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha has increased by 1,000,000 euros the credit for exceptional grants called for under Decree 7/2016, of March 15. This measure raises the total amount available for 2026 to 4,312,156.00 euros and responds to the high number of applications submitted. The decision is formalized in the Resolution of 09/18/2026, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha (DOCM) on September 29, 2026, section III, with reference [2026/6997].

The origin of the expansion

The text is based on the Resolution of 03/06/2026, from the First Vice-Presidency, published in DOCM number 50, of March 13, 2026, which established the credits that were to finance the grants for the 2026 financial year. Its second provision already foresaw that, in light of the applications submitted, the allocated credit could be increased, provided that budgetary availability was declared and the requirement for adequate and sufficient credit under article 36.2 of Decree 21/2008, of February 5, was met.

According to the resolution, once the processing had advanced, the need to expand the credit for the local entities line was confirmed in order to address applications that would otherwise have had to be rejected due to a lack of budgetary allocation. The increase is communicated to the National Grants Database (BDNS), with identifier 891844, and is published in the DOCM without this implying the opening of a new application period.

Distribution by annual installments and budget lines

The one-million-euro expansion is divided between two financial years, both charged to budget line 1104.112A.76010:

• 2026 installment: 750,000.00 euros.
• 2027 installment: 250,000.00 euros.

Consequently, the final distribution of the total credit of 4,312,156.00 euros is as follows:

• Financial year 2026: 1104.112A.46010, 900.00 euros; 1104.112A.48010, 150,000.00 euros; 1104.112A.76010, 2,750,994.00 euros; 1104.112A.78010, 332,223.00 euros.
• Financial year 2027: 1104.112A.46010, 300.00 euros; 1104.112A.48010, 50,000.00 euros; 1104.112A.76010, 916,998.00 euros; 1104.112A.78010, 110,741.00 euros.

Regulatory framework and entry into force

The resolution is issued in the exercise of the powers attributed by Decree 82/2024, of November 12, which establishes the organic structure and fixes the competencies of the bodies integrated into the Presidency of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha. The framework for the call is Decree 7/2016, of March 15, which regulates the direct granting of exceptional grants from the Presidency, and the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17, in its articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a.

The document is signed in Toledo on September 18, 2026, by the First Vice President, José Luis Martínez Guijarro. The resolution takes effect from the day following its publication in the DOCM.

Impact for applicants

The extension provides budgetary leeway for the line aimed at local entities, the segment that had concentrated the highest volume of requests and was at risk of remaining uncovered. With the new credit, the 2026 call reaches its maximum amount of 4,312,156.00 euros, of which 3,233,117.00 euros correspond to the current fiscal year and 1,078,039.00 euros to 2027. Interested parties maintain the deadlines already established, as the publication of the increase does not reopen the application period.
