The Board assigns destinations to ten stabilized physiotherapists

The Vice-Ministry of Public Administrations, Institutional Relations, and Citizen Services of the Regional Government of Castilla y León has assigned destinations to the ten candidates who passed the selection process for access, via the competition system, to the functional competence of Physiotherapist, within the framework of the temporary employment stabilization process. The resolution, signed on August 13, 2026, by the Vice-Minister José Miguel de Elías Hernández, is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León number 160, dated August 19, 2026 (reference BOCYL-D-19082026-160-1).

A temporary employment stabilization process

The call is framed within Law 20/2021, of December 28, on urgent measures for the reduction of temporality in public employment, and was launched via Resolution of December 22, 2022. Following the publication, on May 22, 2026, of the complementary list of candidates who passed the process, and once the position offer period has elapsed, the Vice-Ministry now proceeds to assign destinations to those who have proven compliance with the requirements.

The appointments are formalized according to the new professional categories of the current Collective Agreement for the labor personnel of the General Administration of the Community of Castilla y León (published on June 21, 2023), exercising the delegation of Order PRE/1367/2022, of October 3.

Assigned destinations

The positions are distributed between the ministries of Family and Equal Opportunities and Education, with vacancies in territorial managements, residences for the elderly, disability care centers, and educational centers:

• Roberto Martín Aranda — Assessment and Care Unit for People with Disabilities, Valladolid.
• Rut Maestre Menéndez — CEE Santa María Madre de la Iglesia, Astorga (León).
• Alicia Hernández Velasco — Residence for the Elderly, Segovia.
• M. Ángeles Martín Álvarez — Assessment and Care Unit for People with Disabilities, Burgos.
• Montserrat Verdura Cepeda — Residence for the Elderly, León.
• Alba Cristal Rojo Fernández — CEIP Villa y Tierra, Saldaña (Palencia), with itinerant functions within a 40 km radius.
• María Ángela María Martín — Ángel de la Guarda Residential Center, Soria.
• Sara Ferrero Valle — CEE Bergidum, Ponferrada (León).
• César Arévalo Herrero — CEIP Zorrilla Monroy, Arenas de San Pedro (Ávila), with itinerant functions.
• Yolanda Martín Jiménez — CRA Pinar Grande, Navaleno (Soria), with itinerant functions.

Deadlines and conditions for incorporation

Applicants must formalize their employment contract within 10 business days from the publication, before the Secretary General of the Department or the competent body of the destination autonomous organization. Incorporation into the position will occur within 20 business days, a period that may be extended if the position is occupied by a worker with a temporary contract until the expiration of said contract, without further extension being possible.

A probationary period of three months of actual work is established, which is not required for those who have already performed the same functions in the Administration for an equal or longer period. Once the probationary period is completed, the worker will become permanent, and this will be counted for all purposes. Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, a claim may be filed before the Social Section of the Court of First Instance of Valladolid within two months.

Relevance of the measure

With this award, dozens of professionals who had been in temporary positions for years in the region’s health and education systems consolidate their positions as permanent staff, in line with the objective of Law 20/2021 to reduce temporary employment in the public sector. The measure reinforces the stability of physiotherapy staffs in residences, disability care centers, and schools throughout Castilla y León.
