The Board accepts the transfer of the Free Trade Zone for a hospital

The Regional Government of Andalusia (Junta de Andalucía) has accepted the free transfer of ownership of the property located at Avenida Marconi, no. 33, in Cádiz, agreed in its favor by the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium, for the purpose of constructing a new hospital. The acceptance is formalized through the Order of September 16, 2026, from the Ministry of Economy, Finance and European Funds, published in the Official Gazette of the Regional Government of Andalusia (BOJA) no. 185, of September 23, 2026, under text no. 12303. The property is assigned to the Andalusian Health Service (SAS).

The announcement is included in section 3 of the gazette, dedicated to “Other provisions,” and occupies two pages of the issue. The BOJA of that date is number 185 of year XLVIII, with legal deposit SE-410/1979 and ISSN 2253-802X, edited by the Ministry of Presidency, Health and Emergencies through its Technical General Secretariat. The order is signed by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and European Funds, the department that signs the act of acceptance.

The terms of the operation

The order resolves in a single administrative act the incorporation of the property into the assets of the regional administration and its healthcare purpose:

• Accepts the free transfer of ownership of the property.
• Identifies the transferor: the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium.
• Sets the purpose of the asset: the construction of a new hospital.
• Assigns the property to the Andalusian Health Service (SAS).

The free nature of the transfer implies that the Regional Government of Andalusia receives the property without financial consideration, and the assignment to the SAS links the asset to the network of the Andalusian public health system.

The property and its location

The transferred asset is the property located at Avenida Marconi, no. 33, in the municipality of Cádiz. The order identifies the full address and the city, and expressly links the purpose of the property to hospital use. With the assignment to the SAS, the future center is integrated into the structure of the public health service of the autonomous community.

The publication of the order provides official notice of the incorporation of a new site into the public health assets of the province of Cádiz. For the readers of Cádiz, the announcement confirms that the project for a new hospital already has ceded land and a defined owner: the Andalusian Health Service.
